Heard on the Herd that USC has tried to prepare for Vince Young by using a Tight End on their practice squad.

OK.. I know SC has some great athletes and all, but if this TE is giving you a "good look" as what to expect from VY, maybe that TE should be your starting QB. (Or at least 2nd behind Leinart)

or maybe they have no one that compares to VY... Fred Davis is athletic, but that's like having Donald Washington simulate Teddy Ginn b/c they are of a similar build.

I have also heard that they let reggie bush be vince for a couple of practices, different kind of players but if you combined fred davis and RB you are much close to VY....Can either of them pass?

OH, I'm sure both those guys would be starting at QB anywehre else in the country. :p

Edit - Actually, I think Trev would have said as much if he was still on ESPN doing analysis.

Would love to see the Horns win tonight.

Oh, and BKB, there is no comparison between the Tejas D and the USC lack thereof. Texas will be, by far, the toughest D that USC has seen. I mean, they aren't Oregon or Hawaii, but they're up there. Not only do I want Tejas to win, I want them to win by 50. Maybe (although doubtfully) that will stop the media from constantly kissing USC's ass.

even if VY leaves, along with tons of seniors on that D, a huge win will also hype up next year's matchup even more with OSU. the media loves offense, and most of it is intact for UT in 06 (despite losing some lineman... a factoid easily glossed over by the offense-obsessed media).

I thought so.

FKA, you sir, are wise if not a little too hopeful re: ass kissing.

yup, our game is going to be interesting again next year. We will return our stable of runningbacks, however, we will most likely lose VY, our Recievers will be more experienced, but line might be depleated some. Oh, and thank the fahqing lord that you won't have hawk and company next year. im sure the replacements will be very good.....but i'll take my chances
