There is no one on either side that played in that matchup 5 years ago that will be suiting up on Jan 2. At best there was a few redshirt freshman who are now seniors that stood on those sidelines. If the Bucks prevail it is just a bowl win over Florida, which I'll gladly take after this season (heck I'll take ANY bowl win after this season). I'm sure the 'revenge' factor is pretty much in the minds of fans only. I'm sure everyone on the team wants to send Fickell and the current coaching staff off in the best way they can... with a bowl win.BUCK3YE5;2057557; said:it'd be something..

.500 teams with losing conference records have no business at all being in a bowl game.
Every kid gets a trophy in little league. That's what this bowl bid looks like.
Bring on Urban and a real team.

This cripple fight will get better ratings and hype, and therefore make more money than 95% of the other bowl games between teams with better records.
The "college football needs ND to be good" argument is bull[Mark May], but when Ohio State, Florida, Florida State, Texas, Oklahoma, Southern Cal, Nebraska, Notre Dame etc. are all mediocre or worse, college football is a helluva lot less entertaining- as evidenced by this season.
