IMO the system is just so utterly broken it doesn't work for anyone anymore.

Agreed. I'm still absolutely blown away that Michigan got an at-large over MSU (head-to-head?), Virginia Tech gets a bid despite getting shat on TWICE by the same team, and Boise State was no where in the mix. Granted, I hate Boise as much as the next person, but they deserved to be in the equation.

I am having a hard time with this game. On one hand, tOSU is going bowling. On the other, I still think 6-6 teams who have had seasons like tOSU have no business being in a bowl game.

On the 3rd hand...its all about business isn't it...

I keep telling myself the game means jack shit but the media exposure leading up to it is priceless for recruiting.

This actually reminds me of self dialogue at the bar around last call involving the attributes of some rather, shall we say, "healthy" ladies back in the day. A the end of it all you slam home that last shot, tell yourself you've done worse and go do your by god duty.

It's another chance to watch the Buckeyes.

It's another chance to beat the SEC.

It's more practice time for our players.

It's a chance to send our seniors out on the right foot.

It means something to me. :oh:
+ get revenge from the last time we faced Florida

+ get to rub in Urban Meyer

Can Urban Meyer be on the sideline, and can he coach during the game (like Braxton)? Assuming Fickell lets him?

It seems to me the NCAA doesn't have any rules on new coaches in these situations. I wonder if Fickell will let him run some parts of practices or something...

Fickell is coaching the bowl game. Urban will not be on the sideline (as a coach) as far as I know.
