Well the one good thing about being gone till 6PM the Sunday after is that you don't have to put up with the shit that seems to have stricken the board. things like 'tressel needs to hire an OC' and the QB discussion. I held up my end of the deal and yelled all day and never sat down. I now have no voice. I'll be back tomorrow morning. Go Bucks!

on aside note: I didn't realize the horns sign was done every other second. Quite annoying (and not because we lost).

No one is mentioning about the big mo.

We had absolutely no momentum when Zwick started. They came out and scored 10-0 pts. We put Smith in and we score 19 straight pts. Also the defense also started to play. I think there is something about having Smith in the game that gets this team fired up. I think that our momentum was lost late in the game by the switching of the qb's, and we all know football is a game of momentum.

i think that is where JT screwed up, should have kept Smith in the game the whole time, instead up of trying to run a dumbass two-QB system, i honesty thought after halftime when Smith came in that JT was just gonna leave smith in, but no when we were doing good and rolling along he pulls Smith and puts in JZ

I disagree smith made some nice plays but it was qb draw qb draw ........ I think he has trouble reading defenses, smith is better at the deep ball, but justin is better on the short and intermidate passes plus he recongizes defenses better imho. It looked like smith was trying to make things happen instead off letting the game come to him. They are both good qb's just different styles.

We weren't really rolling. Start on their 45 and go 20 yds kick a field goal, thats not rolling.

New found liking of the Buckeyes

Hey guys, I just wanted to say thanks for being cool and not flaming Texas. I seriously will now always root for Ohio St. I've been impressed with the tradition, support and dedication to excellence Ohio St. represents. I'll always be a Longhorn, but I now consider myself a Buckeye fan.

i was quite impressed with your fans also. with a few exceptions(there are for no matter what team) your fans were friendly and open-minded. although, as my Uncle says "i would rather root for Saddam than Texas" i have a new respect for your team and fans.

Damn, I'm still bummin.

What a great game though. As everyone has said, you gotta hand it to Texas. I thought we played good, at least good enough to win, and Vince beat us with his arm.

Some thoughts, play calling was a bit conservative, we needed touchdowns and not field goals.

Josh Huston had a great game, he deserves a pat on the back. Did anyone else get a big "uh oh" feeling in the pit of their stomach when he missed that last field goal. Not saying it was his fault, but that was a big turning point.

Hamby...it was in the numbers! I was screaming twice thinking he'd caught, nice breakup by the Texas player on the second attempt.

I'm going to have an anyeurism the next time I see someone do the hook' em horns sign. I've always been a fan of throwing up the metal, \m/, but I dont think I can do it anymore for fear of it being confused with hook em.

Troy Smith should start for this team, Zwick had a good game with the exception of untimely fumble (how many drops did his passes have?). I just think Smith adds an element that makes the offense better, we scored on our first 5 possesions with him in.

AJ Hawk is my hero....wow, what a game.

Congrats Texas...see you in Austin!

ps....this loss hurts more than I thought it would.

The game certainly changed when Troy came in, but I think everyone just suddenly settled down. Maybe it was him and maybe not. I really wonder what would that game have been like had it been played at noon. Less time for the players to sit and over analyze.

Play calls...It would have been better to see each of them work in an offense that is best for them. Or hell maybe an offense they are gonna use consistently.

I also think Smith should of been in on the last drive. Both quarterbacks had absolutely no rhythm with the receivers. How can a QB get into any kind of rhythm when he is getting rotated in and out every other series. Hell, why not throw Boeckman in the rotation if your going to do that shit. Like everyone else said, we played better with Smith in the game. Although I have to question the play calling when he was in. (QB draw, QB draw, QB draw) If your going to call plays like that why not use the shot-ginn offense that worked so well last year.

There are so many things I want to say about the Texas game, but this will be my last post venting the loss. It's a long season, and we still have a lot to look forward to this year. Instead of crying about lossing to the #2 team in the country, im going to look forward to San Diego State. Hell, who knows, maybe we will sneak back into the BCS picture.
