Holy fucking shit. We've always prided ourselves in traveling well, but watching on TV it sure seemed that the Texas fans more than held their own despite being outnumbered 10-1. They were all over the place, well before and during the game. And did anyone watcning on TV notice how often you could hear the Texas band but not ours? You gotta tip your hat to the Texas fans...they came and they represented.

i'll tell you one thing right now, if a team like say USC loses they might drop to #8, if OSU loses on the other hand we will drop out of the top 10 maybe even the top 15, the pollsters hate tOSU and always will, i see us next week ranked #13 after this game

It would be a joke if ANYONE puts you guys below Michigan. They didn't look good today.

Good game Bucks

Buckeye fans,
Just wanted to say that was a game for the ages, regardless of how it would have turned out. Of course I'm awful happy that my Horns prevailed, but it was a good one either way.

I just hope all you trash talking fools learned a lesson. I'm talkin about those of you who incessantly went on and on and on about how your linebackers and supposedly superior speed were going to be enough to stop the Longhorns. Well, I guess you now realize that we have just as much speed, and not with just a few players, but across the board. We basically nullified Ginn and Holmes and if it hadn't been for our ridiculously piss-poor kick coverage and our turnovers, it would hve been about a 10 - 14 point margin.
I thought your linebackers were darn good, no doubt, but our secondary seemed about as good as yours, both giving up crucial third down pass conversions.
I was surprised that our D lasted as long as it did cuz I thought they were gonna be gassed by the end of the third. But strangely enough, that is when they started making some real plays.
Don't be surprised taht Vince made the throws that he did. Everyone we play seems surprised that he can actually throw downfield, but I guess that what happens when the media sticks a player with a certain reputation by repeating the same old BS over and over again. It actually works to our advantage I guess.

Anyway, great game and looking forward to welcoming y'all to Austin next year!

I will say it again. This game was lost with our inability to get the ball to our playmakers. It didn't matter who was a QB. If the Texas defense takes away one option with Ginn then you to to option 2, 3, etc. Our defense laid it on the line but our offense did not. We did not have a great game plan on offense and did not make the proper adjustments. Throw Huston's kick, Justin's fumble, and Troy's safety out of it. We did not get the ball to our playmakers that could given us a cushion against Texas. INSTEAD we settled for 100 field goals.

I wouldn't quite go so far as to say Tressel got out-coached, but rather the Texas defense outplayed our offense. Then again, I wonder why we threw only one pass over 15 yards the entire game.

we come out wide eyed making mental errors. texas? no problems. we abandoned our offense as soon as we went up by 3. texas played texas ball all game. what happened to the spread offense? we played just as much power eye than we did anything else. how many times did we have passing plays with 2 guys going downfield? wtf happened to gonzo after the 1st quarter??? where the fuck were teh flanker screens? i counted 4 times that ginn was lined up behind gonzo and hall with noone from texas' d moved over to account for him. meaning texas was literally spotting us 8 yards just like miami was and possibly a td on a single missed tackle. what was tressel's "magical special" plays for texas? the power eye? against the strongest d line in the nation? we 100% outmatched texas at wr. it was blatantly clear in the first half. and yet we didn't take advantage of it in the least beyond halftime.

i could be full of it and talking 100% on emotion. but i have a strong feeling im going to feel the same way when i go back and rewatch the tape tomorrow.

he did have 2 interceptions tonight, and after his first couple of drives we almost completely shut down his running.

and dont blame it on huston, ive been an idiot and blamed it on players or tressel, but huston had a great night.

I was very impressed with both defensive squads. The OSU defensive line played great against out OL. Our DB's & Harris came up big as well. Both teams made mistakes & all of the exciting play calling I was expecting from both teams was non- existant. Hopefully we'll see y'all in Austin next year to party on 6th st. I can definitely hook up a few of y'all for a day of saltwater fishing or maybe a dove or teal hunt next year. Tear up the Big Ten tOSU & we'll see ya in the ROSE !!!

I don't agree. They don't like "Tressel Ball," but loosing this closley to a higher ranked team will not hurt us that much.

Hey, at least scUM lost!!

Great game and congrats to Texas.

I only have two negative things to say.

1. It took way too long for our schools to meet. I hope is not that long again after next year's game.

2. I sure hope big teams continue to schedule big non-conference games after the addition of a 12th game. Fans should not have to wait until October for the real season to begin.

Leave it to the Bucks to lead the way! They did not back down from the challenge of "BIG" game! It was a classic game and pay backs are always fun!:oh:

Positives:
Holmes is one of the best WRs in the country.
Pittman is for real. That guys going to have a 1000 yards season.

When Holmes was running those perfect routes it was a sight to see. All I could think about was the Texas DB saying our WR's don't run good routes. Teddy, yes. Santonio, no way.

We seemed to lose a lot of momentum when Pittman was hurt. I hope it is nothing serious as we need him for the rest of the season.

Listen

I'm not flaming or anything - I'm not a Texas or an OSU fan. I'm a Nebraska Fan with plenty to worry about (offense scored 14 points in 2 weeks).

I'm asking an honest question - Does anyone here think that Young has catapulted himself above everyone else in the heisman balloting? Who else would you name right now as a candidate?
