Okay looking at it objectively, who's performance was better, JZ vs. Miami...or TS vs. Michigan. While this is a pretty ludicrous statement, it amazes me that people give Zwick more credit than he deserves and say that TS's game was a one time deal.

I haven't seen any of this.

I do think it is easy to diagnose some fans preference though.

JZ had a good day today. He deserves one day to bask in that.

I personally do not care who starts...just win.

im tired of everyone attacking zwick then at the end of the post, completely writing off anything they said. smith will be rusty for the texas game most likely, why cant anyone understand that? zwick ran fine today, he threw fine today, he led our team to victory today, why is that not good enough?

Hey scarlet I obviously see that you are very pro Zwick so I won't come at you too hard, but I think what everyone is trying to say is yeah Zwick was very efficient today and he won for us, but when you have a weapon like Smith he needs to be on the field.

im not pro zwick i just think he deserves credit, last year when we went 0-3 i was calling for his head just like every other ohio state fan. i prefer smith because he does add another dimension and does things that zwick cannot do. i just find it stupid when no one is giving zwick credit for having a good game today, its all about what he didnt do, or how anyone couldve made that throw. he had a great game today and should start against texas. if anything im pro smith, but zwick has a lot of pressure on him today and he came through.

Most folks are arguing that Zwick should start based on his performance today. That logic says he plays til he fails. But what it overlooks is practice and JT has alwasy said you earn your PT in practice. None of us know how Smith is doing.

A good point. But I think what that logic says is what will happen: Zwick starts, and stays in until, and if, the offense falters (i.e. a couple of three and outs). In other words, I don't think much was decided today (except, in my view, that Zwick is ready to go and the offense is solid across the board). The long-term starting quarterback situation will be decided in the first half next Saturday.

Start Zwick.

I would start Zwick and stay w/Zwick until he makes a mistake. Then get him out of there and bring in TS.

He threw a few questionable passes today,(The INT, and a pass over the middle that hit their linebacker in the head come to mind) but overall he looked pretty good.

I cant wait for Texas.

No one has attacked Zwick. Basically, I just can't get over people claiming his performance to be all-world.

I'm honestly not picking on you here, but I don't even see that.

I see a group of fans excited over a win...a relatively mistake-free win after emerging from a fog of allegations, indiscretions, and mostly mediocre football.

JZ did not set records today, but he performed well...the Krenzel comparison is very valid. Steady is the word that comes to mind.

Today is his day. We should give that to him...especially after the Spring Game fiasco.

maybe before posting on this thread you should read all the other posts.

we have one person claiming that we said troy smith was a one game deal against michigan, and another saying that we claimed zwicks performance to be "all-world"

neither have been close to true, no matter how you twist anyones words.

Miami did not challenge us with a run game. This is the key to destroying the UT scheme. We have to be tough on the run Saturday.

Playing the frosh in the first, second, third and fourth was huge, and will be huge when we need the depth come Sat.

OUTSTANDING!!!! :osu:
