Every time I hear Dorsey's name I can't help but laugh. I was watching the 49ers once last year and the announcers were just ragging on him left and right saying how he was just totally unfit for the NFL and how his arm was terrible and his release was way too slow...I was rofl

I know its the NFL vs what, a simple old National Championship game, but I still believe Dorsey never quite got his swagger back after the Buckeyes harassed him all that night in AZ. Perhaps the experience of facing so many future Pros was simply too much... plus his supporting cast in SF is below par (for the NFL).

Yeah - fair points about expectations. As for White though he was damaged goods coming out of Oklahoma - a gamer for sure, but his injury history alone left hiom running on borrowed time in college, let alone the pros.

Ken Dorsey was 38-1 as a starter when we beat Miami in the Fiesta Bowl.

All the bucks from that team in the Fiesta Bowl will be playing in 2 weeks as well.

I think some major questions have been answered by the Buckeyes. I feel alot better about special teams, offense, and defense. Basically I have a warm and fuzzy feeling about the 2005 Buckeyes.

Special Teams

Josh Huston made 8-11 kicks in practice and our backup kicker is nailing 55 yarders theres room for optimism. Ashton Youboty took a kickoff to the house in a practice. Tim Schaeffer blocked a kick(one of Hustons misses). Coverage units and blocking units are said to be great. Steve Helwagen in a chat said Trappasso is booming the ball and will be more than serviceable. I think punter, holder, long-snapper, and PK have been pretty much answered.

Offense

All reports say that the OL and RB's have looked great. I think we are better off than most outsiders believe. Hamby looked great catching the ball when ESPN showed our practice. Spielman said Troy looked great in practice. If we run the spread we will be very good on offense.

Defense

Lane moving to RB tells me Amos and Jenkins are awesome. Amos had an INT when ESPN showed our practice. IMO the boundry corner is answered and depth is not a concern. O'neal will be our Nickleback. I think our DB's will exceed expectation. Adding Ginn in the mix in special situation as a CB adds even more depth and talent. Barrow and Wilson are in the 2-deep since Gholston went down. If we get a pass rush we will have a top 5 defense.

All things considered I'd say pass rush/d-line play and consistency at QB are my only concerns. I feel alot better about everything else.

OSU Student Needed for Ticket switch

I am a student at UT and have an OSU student ticket for the game. I bought two tickets on e-bay (one is a student and one is a spouse ticket). I was told that the spouse ticket does not need a student ID, but the student ticket does. What I am proposing is that an OSU student w/ a General admission ticket meet me at a particular gate at a time before the game to switch tickets just to get in the gate. After inside, obviously...switch back. If there are two students (one male, one female) with gen adm tickets, we'll switch both just to be safe. Pretty much just want to ensure we get in the gate. Let me know if you're willing to help out. Obviously since i spent so much on the tickets, i'd like someone to just volunteer, but if need be...we can buy you a beer or something. Let me know.
