I am a student at UT and have an OSU student ticket for the game. I bought two tickets on e-bay (one is a student and one is a spouse ticket). I was told that the spouse ticket does not need a student ID, but the student ticket does. What I am proposing is that an OSU student w/ a General admission ticket meet me at a particular gate at a time before the game to switch tickets just to get in the gate. After inside, obviously...switch back. If there are two students (one male, one female) with gen adm tickets, we'll switch both just to be safe. Pretty much just want to ensure we get in the gate. Let me know if you're willing to help out. Obviously since i spent so much on the tickets, i'd like someone to just volunteer, but if need be...we can buy you a beer or something. Let me know. Ryan 512 569 0740 or e mail me at [email protected]. I appreciate it a ton...thanks
There aren't "general admission" tickets. But I see what you're saying...

Why would an OSU student have a "general admission" (non-ID) ticket? Doesn't make much sense. That's the chance you taking purchasing a student ticket.

That's the chance you taking purchasing a student ticketI have seen several OSU students looking on craigslist.com for tickets, so i'm not sure why. Maybe the school didn't allot enough tickets for the entire student body, i'm not sure....I will buy an ID from someone if i have to, I just figured there would be someone willing to help me out.

Well, the Texas thread made it to the second page for the first time ever, so I thought I'd bring it back up. My plans for the 10th have solidified, and man...what a way to start my junior year at Ohio State.

Sept. 9th: Last day of my internship, going straight from work in Cincinnati to my friends' house 3 blocks north of Lane. Celebrating her 21st birthday at their house. Then moving to a HUGE block party (Texas students invited if you made it all the way up here) on Lane and Indianola.

Sept 10th: Get up pretty early, eat breakfast, take care of some apartment business. Then heading to a party on 16th and Waldeck around 11:00 AM. Then heading further south to 12th to meet up with more folks. Take the whole group to the south campus dorms to get more people. Then hitting the tailgate scene. For the most part going up and down Lane, maybe heading back to the house on W. Patterson to rest a little.

Head to Skull Session around 5:00 (depending on where we are), then its ON. Head to the stadium, get in farily early and watch the stadium fill up, teams warm-up, band, etc. Gametime. Go Bucks.

Party afterwards till Sunday morning.

My Texas game weekend just got a whole lot more interesting. I've got a court date on the 7th, so I'll stop by court on my way down to Columbus to pick up my tickets for the game haha. It should be a hell of a week/weekend.

From Bruce Feldman's Blog:
Talkin' Tough At Texas
Meet the "Trench Hogs." That's the name the Texas O-line has adopted for itself as it works to overhaul its soft rep. To me, Trench Hogs sounds more like a RONCO product or something Tony Little should be yelping about. Personally, nickname or not, this perception that UT is soft won't be washed away until the Horns prove themselves in a visit to Columbus and in Dallas against Oklahoma.

... and, just as we hear how the Horns are trying to live down their soft rep, comes this story from the Dallas Morning News about new UT D-coordinator Gene Chizik jamming to an ABBA CD on his way to work.

In all seriousness, I think Chizik, fresh from winning the Broyles Award at Auburn, should be a great fit in Austin. That said, I just can't imagine Bob Stoops riding to the office with Culture Club or Bette Midler blasting from the speakers.
ABBA! :slappy:

Please dont flame me guys I really want this thing to work out!!! I dont see whats wrong with 3 of us meeting up at the Fawcett at the same time 6am or so, set up shop for 10$ parking and make it a game. Is their something wrong with the Fawcett center. I have been tailgating there for a couple years now. is the rv lot better? I just dont get it . Please dont flame me :biggrin:
I don't think that any one place will be better than another. I think the RV lot was brought up because we could get a prime spot from Scooter and I was planning on renting an RV, but that's not happening now. I don't think it would be a big deal if we set up in the Fawcett Center, we could just walk over to the RV lot and hang out with people or what not. Let's have a vote per se and see what everyone else thinks we should do before we make any decisions. Either way I'm gonna be there whether it's in the RV lot or the Fawcett.

Texas roster gets released today. Mack already discussed it at his press conference, but he you couldn't hear all of it b/c somebody was screaming the lyrics to Fernando in the background.

I have not seen the depth chart in print yet, but it doesn't seem to contain that many suprises.

(I know there is another thread for this, but I don't have time to read another thread) Is Ohio State/Miami (OH) regional this saturday? Do they have that info on ABC's website, or where can I find the regional listings?

ABC usually releases that on a Wed or Thurs. I would say you would get the OU game, since thats the only other ABC game on at noon this Sat.

Did I actually just say that? This Sat?! :groove:
too f'n hard to believe that it is this soon. it is a struggle to get through this week, and we are 40 pt. favorites. still, going to be great.

also, I am not in Texas but rather on the East coast, so my chances of getting Ohio State should be pretty good.
