I think alot of your problem is that most of us can't afford the tickets to the game, I would donate my left teste for some seats. I just can't afford $300. It would be a comlete blast to come down there and party with you guys and go to the game but I am going to end up just sitting on my couch probably unless I get together with some of my freinds and have a party.
I don't have tickets to the game either. I'm just going down there to tailgate and watch the game at one of the bars, in the parking lot on someone's tv, or if we can get the van I could even watch it in there.

Edit:

Like I told Gost8 in a PM. I'm half tempted to just scrap the idea of a tailgate and just stay home and watch the game there. There isn't a point in going through all of this trouble if only a handful of people are planning on attending.

Try not get bitter, bro. As for me, and I suspect a LOT of others, I already have plans. I've been attending OSU games for over twenty years, and have the whole traditional tailgating schedule to uphold, especially for a big game like Texas. I'm sure I'll stop by if there is a tailgate, but I'll be going to my usual spot with my usual friends and family and grilling my usual food and drinking my usual beer. Like I said, I'll likely stop by, but my plans for this have been set since last season, and my guess is everyone else is the same.

By the by, I didn't know it cost $50 to park in Scooter's lot. As such, I amend my earlier post to this:

Hey Scooter, if I give you $50 will you let me in for free?

I remember saying something around page 100 to the effect of "wow, 1500 posts? Let's get this thing to 3000 before the game starts." I was actually joking when I typed that. We're a bunch of pathetic losers, folks. Might as well admit it.
you're right....you are

Looks like some folks outside Texas and Ohio are aware of this little shindig:

Texas at Ohio State
Regular season, non-conference games don't get much better than this. Texas has national championship aspirations and its fleet-footed QB, Vince Young, has Heisman hopes, but both causes could be crushed with a loss in Columbus. Ohio State is looking to regain its place among the nation's top programs and a win here would go a long way. As many of the Buckeyes' opponents can attest, the Horseshoe is an awfully tough place to emerge from with a victory.

Tick, tick, tick...........this game is so close compared to when you started this thread.......

I think that all of you who are not coming because you want to watch the game on TV are making a mistake. I have never even been to the Shoe before, but if I am lining up for a parking lot around 3:30 in the morning, I can guarantee you it is going to be a good time. I am driving an RV to Columbus, and I do not have tickets, to the game, hell, nobody in my RV has a ticket to this game. But I could care less. Those of us that do not get into the game will watch it at the tailgate or somewhere close, but for fifteen some odd hours, we will be having a grand ol' time. As for tickets you never know what might happen, drunk kids passing out with tickets in their hand, a scalper getting pinched with twenty tickets, texas fans dressing up as cops/security and confiscating scalpers' tickets, finding a ticket taker who realizes that a $100 bill looks just like a valid ticket, etc......

As for the dish that I am going to bring: Three Kegs, Bloody Marys, and stuff to make breakfast tacos. Our RV has the gas stove, so we will probably cook the tacos inside, and set up the serving table outside. We also plan on making beer can chickens all day to go along with your burgers, etc.

Anybody have a propane boiler? That makes for some great, quick foods, real fries, etc. We will bring a grill or two, but I don't think that we are going to buy a fryer.

Lastly, I will be more than grateful and happy to combine our RV/food/beverage with your tailgate as long as you don't mind some proud texans hanging out with you.

I'm coming from Chicago on Friday, and I've been planning for weeks to be at this tailgate all day and all night (no game tickets, and probably won't buy any). We've got a dozen people on the list on page 1, what's the problem? I'm coming in a car, planning on dropping off food and plenty of ahem, water to drink, and then parking my car a block away and walking back to spend all day with BPers.

I don't think that's a bad idea at all. As a matter of fact I think it's a great idea.

BB73... quit your crying

We're still gonna have the tailgate.

Anyone wanting to go to a selective party could attend this one. I realize they have to cap the list, but premium members only? classy:roll2:

We are having one for sure. Look for the announcement in the next few days. Will run from 2-7 and will be within a 10-minute walk of Ohio Stadium. We'll only be inviting Bucknuts.com premium subscribers. They may bring one guest. Because of space, we may need to cap the guest list. As it stands, only the ones who make the final list will get the location details, etc. Should be a great event. We'll have food and beverages, but, again, only as supplies last. Stay tuned for more. I know Mr. B, myself and Gary plan on being there.
