"Prediction: Ohio State 27, Texas 24.

Am not sure if tOSU's QB (Tobey Smith?) is going to be eligible, but if he is, I change my prediction to the Buckeyes winning 37-17."
Maybe they thought his name was Tobey Mac:

Four from each team, not too shabby. I was going to throw a fit because Salley wasn't on there and that safety from Texas was, but he's on the second team so I'll keep my mouth shut. I think Salley, if he stays healthy, will be one of the top safties in college football this year. At 6'3" 220 he can put the hurtin' on some recievers. Hell, he put the hurting on 300+ Bass last year, it still makes me laugh out loud when I see that.

If I'm sure you're proud of your split with Transylvania; vampires are stronger than regular people.
Actually, we only won that second matchup because we moved the game from a nighttime start to a daytime start.

As for regular season scheduling, Mack is a little baby about scheduling tough games. As strange as that might seem, since we are playing
Ohio State this year, Mack stated before the first game with Arkansas two years ago that he wished that Texas had not scheduled that game. Additionally a couple of years ago, he was able to cancel a game at Hawaii and stated that it was too expensive to go to Hawaii for a game. There were even rumors out of Austin this last winter/spring that the game in Columbus would be cancelled.

That is the biggest problem I have with Mr. Brown, and that attitude seemed to be transferred to the players in big games in the past. But then last year, Robinson and Tomey gave some attitued and swagger to the defense. And yes, several teams put up a lot of points on the board, but that was because of the Robinson style of defense. There was a great moment at the end of the Texas Tech game in Lubbock where hardly any time was left on the clock and Mike Leach decided that down by thirty they would attempt to score one more time with about three mins. left against second and third stringers. They marched down the field calling time outs and rushing plays, celebrating, etc... Robinson called a time out and berated his players. He told them that they better not let these assholes from the desert that is Lubbock score a cheap TD, and sure enough the Horns held them from the endzone and causd a turnover on downs. (I was surprised that Leach didn't kick a FG just so he could score again.) Anyway, the Horns defense responded to Robinson and played fired up. I don't always see that from Mack.

If Chizik and Akina can bring that same type of intensity to the defense, and the offense can play inspired (maybe feeding off the D, or perhaps Young is truly taking a vocal/leader role) then I give us a chance. But if we have to rely on Mack to fire up this team, we will be in trouble in that environment.

Robinson's style was the epitome of Bend but don't break. He preached the importance of turnovers and limiting big plays. He kept everything in front of him and played a zone defense. it was fun to watch because they tackled well and seemed to have much more fun. This was a change from the defense that carl reese ran(which is historicly what texas runs on d) Straight man coverage and blitzes. Historically texas has had a chip on their sholder about defense, the thought was we have the best athletes we can man up with anyone and beat anyone one on one. Robinson came from the nfl where everyone had "the best" athletes and scemes made a difference. Turns out it worked

I would have to say that Oklahoma is the best tackling team in the country based on last years RRS. Vince could not get away from the first guy. Let's hope that changes this year.
That quote was taken from HornFans...

We've heard all about how VY can't be stopped, but it sounds like he was stopped somewhat in the RRS. I realize your gameplanning was different, but VY being tackleable shouldn't hinge on that. What say you horns?

I am just curious whats wrong with the Fawcett parking lot? I like it at the the fawcett much better than the rv lot.
Well fine... you can tailgate in the fawcett center, but everyone else will be in the RV lot

One more thing... Any person planning on attending the BP tailgate must be in proper Buckeye Planet attire. Qualifying attire is a long or short sleeved BP t-shirt in one of three colors. Red, White, or Grey. Any persons not meeting these requirements will not be permitted to tailgate with us  however you can gain access to the BP tailgate by purchasing said attire by contacting me via PM or at the BP tailgate.

Texas fans, you guys can wear those burnt orange "fire Holbrook" shirts and gain immediate access and a free adult beverage

we should be able to do that... hopefully gost8 will be able to join us. Remind me sometime next week so I don't forget.

Are there any objections to my above post? If so too damn bad! That means that Mili and HAYN are gonna have to buy some BP t-shirts.

You answered your own question. If we come into the shoe with a gameplan that even remotely resembles the one that we took to the rrs last year, then we will lose. It is that easy. if we play the style that we played after that game then it will be a good game
