Game Thread Game Two: #1 Ohio State 24, #2 Texas 7 (9/9/06)

Sounds like this kid has tons of potential but the fact remains that he will have only played one college game before he faces tOSU. And the game he will play will be more like a scrimmage than it is a game - North Texas. Not a good senario for the folks down in Austin.

The good thing is that he has two Hendricks and Bednarick watch list DEs going at him nearly every down in practice, plus a couple 4.5 40 DEs to help him hone his footwork. And, you couldn't ask for a better guy than Blalock to have your back. He'll be fine.

It's nice being able to plug in Parade All-Americans at the tackle spots.

Don't forget that where ever he walks God clears a path for him with sunlight and warmth.

Since your entire team will be All-Americans (once the All-Americans in front of them graduate) you guys might as well just practice against each other for four years and get drafted into the NFL. What's the point in playing other teams, they'll just make your players complacent from playing so many inferior oppenents.

It was on cold pizza straight from skip bayless. It may of been more him hating Texas than loving ohio state though because he said the same thing after the rose bowl.

Skip Bayless hates us and I really mean HATES us. All he does when he speaks is say we cheated and didn't deserve the 2002 NC and that we got lucky. He condoned what LenDale White did(spitting on anther player) because it was a kid who went to tOSU(Donnie Nickey). I can't think of anyone who hates tOSU more than him in the media and that includes guys like Dennis Dodd.

Since the 2002-03 Fiesta Bowl:

Reggie Arden
Chris Gamble & 9 Others
Louis Irizarry
Robert Reynolds
Santonio Holmes and Troy Smith
Branden Joe
Louis Irizarry and Ira Guilford
A.J. Traspasso
A.J. Traspasso
Lydell Ross
Albert Dukes
Troy Smith
Jim Bollman
Jonathan Skeete
Erik Haw
Tim Schafer
Brandon Maupin
Troy Smith
A.J. Hawk and Nick Mangold
Andree Tyree
Alex Boone

All these stories, be they minor or major in nature, good or bad, found their way to the national media and ESPN in particular. All were used to paint tOSU in a negative light. Some of the heat is deserved to be sure. Some of it is so trivial it was only published because it involved OSU. Rest assured we know MORE than we ever thought possible about the fine tooth comb and bad press. Just the bad press from Maurice (3+ years running) dwarfs all these other stories combined.

don't forget the story on OSU womens basketball sanctions that appeared on ESPN's college football page!

Oh no you don't....I won't let you take the one thing that I know for sure in life away from me. Skip Bayless Hates the Texas Longhorns as well as the State of Texas in general more than any writer on the planet. Starts with the fact that he is from Oklahoma. It grew worse when he was kicked out of Dallas, and boiled over when ou was winning national championships....he actually hated us more than he loved "his team" (he went to Vandy)...

I fully expect to see the TE lined up most of the game on his side to bring added protection. Otherwise it's going to be tough sledding for this Frosh.
Look for Coach Heacock to exploit this whenever possible.

North Texas? Did East Denton High withdraw from the game without my knowledge?

Without getting into the usual recruiting service banter, I would like to point out the irony that Cowherd's show just had a brief rundown on the Texas QB situation and the reporter said Snead was at least one year away from being able to play. He noted that the flaws in his mechanics were numerous...

Anyway, I'm sure you are right anyway Randy...pass the Kool-Aid please.
