Game Thread Game Two: #1 Ohio State 24, #2 Texas 7 (9/9/06)

I'm going to have to agree with Taos. I mean what was your record against Oklahoma before last year? (No disrespect intended!!!!) Vince had the ability to single handedly take over a game, and he did. More than once. That doesn't mean that you don't have good recruits or returning starters. Look at us after we won the NC. I remember thinking there was no way we were not going to repeat. We ended up losing two games that year. Just because you lose two games doesn't mean you are out of the national scene. Like he said, it's college football. Running the table is a truly great accomplishment that just doesn't come around very often no matter how good your team is.

Outside of the clarrett issues name any other times the media has been against tosu. Look at last year according to skip bayless you guys were the real number 2 once troy smith became qb. And after the game at the shoe last year it was the old "Ohio State lost it texas didnt win it" routine from the media.

injury?

No, as I said in my practice reports Ulatoski has been starting at RT with Blolock moved into RG. Mack announced today that Ulatoski would start if we played today. He also said Colt would start and Hunter would kick under those circumstances.

Ulatoski has a greyshirt year too, so he is more of a redshirt soph developmentally. It is really a matter of this is the lineup that puts the best 5 lineman we have on the field at the same time.

your post seems to suggest they've moved on beyond the clarett issues... heck, even the usa today release of the new coach's poll had a heavy dose of clarett at the beginning.
