I classify them as acceptable cupcakes. Stooping into 1-AA-land for opponents is unacceptable in my eyes. I agree with you that no team should stock it's OOC schedule with powerhouse programs, but I guess I have higher standards for how low OSU should go when looking for tune-up games.

After this statement I'm done. If playing a crappy I-A opponent is more acceptable than a quality I-AA opponent in your eyes then there's no use continuing this discussion as my last comment was spot on... BTW, here's Mili's post from May regarding YSU's records against other Ohio schools:

OK, let's put this shit to rest. Here are the in-state teams that Ohio State has played since Tressel's first year (2001), in chronological order: Akron, Kent State, Cincinnati, Bowling Green, Cincinnati, Miami, Cincinnati.

Now, let's look at YSU's all-time records against each:

Akron 19-14-2
Bowling Green 2-4-0
Cincinnati 2-2-0
Kent State 6-4-0
Miami (0-0-0)

TOTAL: 29-24-0

Now, tell me what the problem is with playing YSU when there are no problems with playing other in-state teams?

That can be said for most OOC games (Akron, Ohio, BGSU, etc), and a couple in the b10 season as well. How would we gain from playing a different cupcake instead?
