I knew that Oberyn was killed by the wounded Mountain from the books. What was probably more shocking in retrospect is that I actually felt a hint of sympathy for Ramsey when Roose Bolton honored him by naming him a Bolton -- and it's been well established that they're traitorous sociopaths and I should be hoping they die in any episode they appear in.

Favorite scene may have been Arya laughing at the Blood Gate. That was hilarious.

I usually press stop as soon as credits roll, but this time I just sat there until it was over. There have been several things about this show that I wasn't expecting, but that might be the biggest so far.

Something has to be said for going into this series blind. I think I would end up being disappointed if I knew how things went in the book before watching the show.

I did that for both this episode and the Red Wedding. The fact that they chose no music for the Red Wedding episode made it that much more intense. I just sat and watched white text on black background for a minute or 2.

I've read all the way up until book five and haven't been dissapointed with the series at all.
