FS Bo 'Beaux' Pelini (DC LSU Tigers)

I do wish Bo well. Really, I do. If he ever gets his temperament and discipline under control, he'd be the right guy for a lot of jobs.

Guess that squashes the whole Jim Tressel was seen at a BP in Lincoln rumors, lolz
I agree here. I don't know if he needs to control his temperament or not, when gets to know the players at YSU. I understand he was pretty well liked by his Nebraska players. I hope he can be that successful in Youngstown. I hope he does well.

So, if you were a player who listened to that, would you walk away believing he just urged you to transfer?

100% yes. Which underscores why it was a good thing to remove him from his position.

I hate to pass along rumors, but it becomes more believable after hearing his comments to these players - When (former Nebraska)(former Pitt) Athletic Director Steve Pederson fired Pelini in 2003, Bo allegedly called recruits and told them not to come to Nebraska.

Ok - first of all that wasn't THAT profanity-laden.

Two - at the end of the day, he says "at the end of the day" too damned many times

Three - Yeah, he called the AD a pussy, but the guy sounds like it. You can't meet a guy 6-7 times over a 6 month period as his boss and feel you can make a call on him. You can't.

Three - I'm afraid college ball has changed, Bo. There is scrutiny everywhere.

My favorite, though, is him telling his players that he "would be around". Call him anytime, he'll be in town, etc, etc. Now a month later he's in Youngstown, Ohio. Just sayin'

It is often suggested that one should not burn bridges when let go. Bo doesn't share belief.
