I upgraded from vB 3.0.0 RC2, to vb 3.0.0 RC3 this morning around 7am ET. This is expected to be the last release candidate before the software goes gold (final release).
ALL previously mentioned bugs and/or quirks should be fixed. I invite (even request) that everyone browse around a bit and look for anything that is still broken.
3yards, the advanced search page should now be almost entirely fixed. A couple of the tables may still leak to the right a little bit, they were unable to fix that as it's an oddity with certain table handling in IE for MacOS. However, the pulldown should be fixed, and based on the image you sent me, that was the biggest deal.
That aside, we should be pretty stable.
I have several hacks/add-ons earmarked that I intend to install, but I won't do these until 3.0.0 is a final release product. Only because the process to upgrade increases exponentially in time consumption and difficulty when you start making modifications to the code. And since I can bearly even explain that adequately, and don't really understand what it means myself, I don't feel properly equipped to pull that off without something bursting into flames. No matter though, we should be out of this final testing process in a week or two, and I'll start adding some fun stuff then.
Stuff like a full integrated chat system, uses existing account information, moderators and admins have full mod abilities within the chat structure, it uses existing system graphics (smilies and such). Looks to be a pretty slick interface. I've also got my eye on some add-ons that speak more to the 'fun' side of things, I'll detail those when and as I add them.
Anyway, looks like the upgrade went without a major hitch, so I'm calling it a night. Or a morning. I'm calling it something.
