I sure hope Coach Coombs still has a place on this staff. Despite his apparent shortcomings as a coordinator, his intensity seems so crucial to the heart and soul of the team.

Sad how his second go-round turned out...he was just in over his head as a DC. Coombs should be revered for his contributions to the program, as a coach, person and a recruiter as he moves on. Will always be one of my favorite assistant coaches we've had.

Would love to see Coach Coombs be able to stay with the program in some capacity. His passion, commitment and love of the program and players is unmatched.

Like to see him as recruiting director or something of that nature and defensive analyst. Depends on if he's ready to stop coaching or not
