That's totally right. I remember the post games with TP (like this one better FWIW) and he said as much. That's exactly how it should work. Good coaching and great plays as a result.

You know what? Chicken butt.
I like Coombs. Seems like a good recruiter and love his energy. Is he a good teacher though? Just curious the thoughts on his coaching ability.

Love his enthusiasm as well and he is a fantastic recruiter from everything I've heard. No idea on his technical coaching ability...but the DBs have looked bad the past few years.

not to mention the DBs do not look bad right now. There is one guy who has struggled while the others have improved significantly this season.

Agreed and Apple just needs the experience, he has the talent. Shoot, even Reeves looks much improved when he is in there. I think Coombs is still the CB coach and ST, but I would imagine Ash is mostly handling the DBs.

Did anyone else see him in the background on the stage during the trophy presentation. He looked like he needed to run a few dozen laps around the field to bring his energy back down to his normal, high level of excitement.
