Did I miss where Roby was injured for most of the year? I've seen this several times and I don't remember this injury plagued year. And as for shutting down the Big 10s best receivers? I can only go by what I saw and I didn't see him shut down anyone. Jared Abbrederris ate him alive in the Wisconsin game. I don't disagree that he was the best defensive back on Ohio State's defense, but that's not saying much this year.

Not most of the year. Sat out due to suspensions against Buffalo, and had a few stingers/knocks to the head/compression of the spine in the 2nd half of the season

To be fair, if I was an All American and came back to play with the cluster[Herbstreit] that has been this secondary... I'd be looking at them incredulously a lot of the time too. I would expect a lot of people have been in that kind of experience in their professional life at some point. As a lead person in their department / shop / office / whatever and realizing they're surrounded by incompetents that they're constantly having to cover up for. It's very frustrating and demoralizing.
Roby didn't lack effort any point though -- he always went after people 100% and saved a number of TDs tracking players all the way across the field after his teammates screwed the pooch.
He's had every right to be distrustful of everyone else in coverage...

Started in the Wisky game.. lower back injury IIRC.

Doran grant actually looked very good this year, tyvis Powell showed improvements, but may be better suited for S, Roby played injured most of the year, but was able to shutdown the best big 10 WR.

And the talent at CB next year is insane. Besides grant, we have reeves, apple, burrows, Conley, and Webb and lattimore coming in. That's a lot of talent and depth at the CB position. He didn't have that this year. And our S provided no help to our CBs either.

Maybe i'm incorrect but I don't remember roby covering Robinson much in that game
