Something like that. I don’t remember the exact score. I just remember thinking “oh my god” it was like watching someone else’s team. I’d never seen OSU dominate like that before.

I think it’s a Gladiator/fight reference of the gates are closed behind them (ND) now. They wanted the Bucks but they’re in the arena now - make them feel it.

Ransom was truly fun to watch and his speech said everything about his style of play. I was just waiting for the refs to try and eject him for one of those brutal hits he delivered. Beast mode.

56-7. Should have been 56-0 but the refs blew a call at the end of the half that gifted Iowa a touchdown. I don’t remember the call — maybe a fumble near the goal line?
He had a fantastic career but his play through the playoffs was on another level, probably moved up the draft charts with those 4 games alone. One thing I love about following recruiting is seeing how the recruit's career pan out here vs what you project. I thought Ransom was one of the best, if not THE best, safety in his class before he even committed to us. He panned out to be a great one here with no only his play but his leadership on defense.

I remember that game vividly. We lived out of state and had to opportunity to get the game on TV pay-per-view. $11! Then 56-0. I was ecstatic because I love a rout. But then they were outscored 35-0 (I think) in the 2nd half. Typical Cooper game.
