Not saying anything about prostitution and footballers, because I'm sure everyone does it.

But just seems like the French are getting caught soliciting prostitutes these days.

Didn't realize that prostitution is legal in France, but they have to be 18 (and evidently the girl in question is 16).

Welsh Jesus notched another two goals - a free kick double - as Spurs defeated Olympique Lyonnais 2:1 in the first leg of their Europa League tie. The match winner came in the last minute of stoppage time.

Diego Maradona becomes father again - NBC Sports

BUENOS AIRES, Argentina (AP) -Diego Maradona is a father again after his long-time partner Veronica Ojeda gave birth to a baby boy who has been named Diego Fernando Maradona Ojeda.

I wonder who be better the better player between Benjamin Aguero (Sergio Aguero's son & Mardona's grandson), Thiago Messi (Messi's son) & Diego Fernado Maradona Ojeda ? Granted, virtually none of the greatest players in history have had sons that were anywhere near as good as there father, but a lot of them have gone on to play professionally.

Maradona has another son named Diego Armando Maradona Sinagra, who was born in Italy when Maradona was playing there.

"A judge has obliged me to pay support, but that does not obligate me to feel love for him," Maradona said in 2005.
 Typical Maradona.

I've seen people around the internets calling him a coward for retiring. Playing in the MLS (which is in a country where soccer fans are usually either immigrants or middle/upper-middle class white people that socially trend left) would probably be a fine environment, but if he doesn't want to play, he doesn't want to play. Calling someone a coward for not wanting to play a game is bullshit. Guy is 25 and has a decent amount of pocket change, he can do whatever he wants with his life.

Absolutely. MLS would probably be the best place for an openly gay player to ply his trade out of any football league in the world, and out of any pro sports league in America. It would still probably be a living hell though. Why should he put himself through that if he doesn't want to?

Even if you put that to the side though, his career had kinda stalled in England and he was upset that his "rights" had been traded to Chicago even though he left Columbus on a free transfer. He has his own clothing line and Grant Wahl tweeted that he has landed a gig with Men's Health Magazine in the UK. Clearly he has talents and interests outside of the game, and to me it seems that he might have chosen to step away even if he hadn't come out.

Europa League second leg... Olympique Lyonnais 1:1 Tottenham Hotspur. Spurs win 3-2 on aggregate. More late magic made it happen today - Lyon led the match much of the way on a first half goal, and had the away goal to give them the advantage. Mousa Dembele scored from distance on a low shot across the face of goal to secure the tie.

Spurs will face Inter Milan in the Round of 16. Think they'll be showing some Gareth Bale highlights in the run up to that one?

Yeah they'll get back to wanking him off again. "The Man Who Ended Maicon"

Splendid effort by Suarez, but Liverpool ultimately came up short against Zenit.
