I figured since there's no threads for any leagues other than the EPL & the Champions League, we might as well have an "all other leagues" thread to avoid the congestion. This should come in handy during all the transfers this summer.

Van Bommel announces he will leave AC Milan and return to PSV - Goal.com

Just another part of the mass exodus from Milan this summer.

Again, no big surprise there. Been speculated about for months, best of luck to one of my favorite CDM's in the game.

And THANK YOU Smudger for making an all things soccer thread. Don't know why I never did, just thought I'd troll all the other threads instead!

As for the flurry of moves coming out of Milan, I think Galliani and Berlusconi are trying to drop some of the older players and sign some younger players. Gattuso (34), Ambrosini (34), Antonini (29), Nesta (36, confirmed), Van Bommel (35, confirmed), and Flamini (28) all may be gone come the Summer Transfer Window. I pray they don't get rid of Gattuso. I don't think anyone on the current roster can match the aggression he can bring to the game. Luca Antonini could be a monumental loss, especially if they don't sign a world class LB. He's been the most solid LB for the last two years running, so here's to hoping he sticks around.

The Ligue 1 title race is coming down to the final two weeks:

1. Montpellier, 76 points, +32
2. PSG, 73 points, +30
3. Lille, 71 points, +31

Montpellier could win their first ever Ligue 1 title tomorrow with a win at home against Lille and a PSG loss or draw against Rennes.

Wish I was able to watch Ligue 1 a little more closely than I do. The TV coverage isn't the greatest (the occasional top notch matchup comes on Fox Soccer Plus), and the streams for french soccer are god awful. That being said, I'm absolutely shocked Marseille or Lyon aren't in the title discussion. Looking at the league table, Marseille in 10th?!

Gattuso wants to rejoin Rangers - Goal.com

Next season AC Milan will have Montolivo, says Allegri - Goal.com

I'll wait until it's official in terms of Montolivo. That would be a great move for AC Milan to make.

Going towards what Buckeye513 pointed out, Ligue 1 is still up for grabs, especially for that 2nd guaranteed Champions League spot. The Montpellier-Lille game will determine quite a bit. PSG has a big money influx and is looking towards some bigger names in Europe to bolster it's roster for next season. With Eden Hazard leaving Lille at seasons end, according to himself, let's hope he leaves with some hard fought play.

Del Piero just scored in his last game for Juventus. Fitting end to his 19 years at the club.

Fitting end to Inzaghi's reign at AC Milan as he scores the game winner on an assist from Seedorf, who was also playing his last game for the Rossoneri. Ciao, Pippo, Seedorf, Gattuso & Nesta.

We will do everything to sign Tevez, reveals Galliani - Goal.com

Better late than never for Milan. With the mass exodus of the 'old guard' I'm absolutely sure they will be big spenders this summer, much to TooTallMenardo's liking. City probably see Tevez as surplus anyways, but are right to ask for a hefty price considering what they paid for him.

Malaga beat Sporting Gijon 1-0 to finish 4th in La Liga. They qualified for the play-offs into the Champions League & with the big money influx they received last summer from the new owners, expect them to go out and spend large again this summer despite the quiet non-speculation from there end thus far.

Udinese defeated Catania 2-0 to finish 3rd in Serie A & qualified for the play-offs into the Champions League as well. Lazio & Napoli were hoping to finish 3rd but lost out & will be in the Europa League next season as Inter won't be playing ANY European competition for the first time in a long while. Nothing short of remarkable from Udinese to finish 3rd after losing Cristian Zapata, Gokhan Inler & Alexis Sanchez.

PSG beat Rennes 3-0 and Montpellier beat Lille 1-0 with a 94th minute winner. PSG go to Lorient next week and Montpellier go to Auxerre, who were just relegated.

Hopefully Montpellier don't fuck this up. I'd rather not see another arab oil army win a title this year.

Have to root for Montpellier to win the league. They've NEVER won it, they finished 14th in the league last year three points out of relegation & were in Ligue 2 just three years ago. I really hope Olivier Giroud makes the French team for Euro this summer as he's had just a remarkable season (Game-winning assist today). I wonder if they'll be able to hang onto Younes Belhanda as he's been drawing interest from some big clubs throughout Europe.

Just saw that Villarreal got relegated after losing 1-0 to Atletico Madrid off an 88th minute goal from Falcao. Heart breaker, indeed. Didn't help that they had to sell off half of there team going into this season because of financial hardship. Can't say I've seen a team play in the Champions League & get relegated all in the same season before.

Looks like Barcelona are taking one step in right direction with the Blaugrana supposedly in close talks with Valencia over left back, Jordi Alba. Haven't really watched him close enough during the few Valencia games I've watched this season, but he started the last three games for Spain in there Euro 2012 qualifying campaign. Just turned 23 as well so this could be one to watch for.
