"They never endured anything similar to an undefeated team being left out. If the same thing happened to your beloved Tide? I can’t imagine what would happen at the steps of the SEC offices! Carry on and enjoy your PPP…Pure Playoff Privilege it’s yours for life apparently."

Or maybe they knew that they caught a young LSU team early, squeaked out a victory in Boston, beat Clemson in overtime, caught Miami at home, and didn't have to play Notre Dame. Let's be honest here, winning the ACC is not the most difficult thing to do in college football.

I just don't see the B1G having any interest when--if they win their suit--it would immediately open up the possibility of getting UNC and UVA and maybe Duke, GaTech and/or Miami.

I could see FSU making things political within the state legislature to force UF to support their SEC candidacy, but that could turn out the same way as if there was ever a vote to admit the juggalos to the B1G, Ohio State could throw them a pity vote for political reasons while secure in the knowledge that the rest of the conference would be voting no.
From an academic/research POV, yeah, makes sense. But from a football conference play POV? I want to see Illinois, Northwestern, Iowa, Minnesota, Penn State, Purdue, hell even Indiana, before I see Duke, UNC, UVA as anything more than an ooc game. I want to go back and watch a game in Champagne - Urbana, Iowa City, Bloomington, again before driving all day Friday to catch an 11 o'clock kickoff in Chapel Hill.

And, yeah, I know it brings in big money TV markets, but I'm not excited about adding the West Coast to our conference either.

sigh, Old Fart likes some semblance of tradition.
