Florida State Seminoles (official thread)

A lot of mouth breathers who want more and more playoff expansion argue “what? UR nOt A fOoTbAlL FaN? moaR football iz good!” Or talk about how basketball can have 68 teams, must think that real life is like those old ncaa PlayStation games or something.

God forbid they ever did expand to 64-68 like men’s basketball, the final 2 teams would probably be so hobbled that their rosters would likely resemble the one FSU put on the field this past weekend.

Everyone saying 12 team playoffs will fix it
A 12 team playoff will effect a few games. If I understand correct there will be a wild card round? So 6 games or so will not have opt outs? The rest still will.

Felt like when people complained about the BCS that playoffs will fix the controversies that arose. It has not.

In a way, it’s multiplied the controversy. Now we have fsu fans saying this game didn’t matter and they got screwed with Georgia fans saying this game is proof that they should’ve been in.

The funny thing is I think with the old system, it’s possible that the two undefeated teams would’ve probably played in a title game: TTUN and FSU.

It can be argued that the playoff system has done the opposite of what it was supposed to be intended for, which was allegedly to create less controversy for the National championship game. Although that’s likely a load of bullshit as we all know it’s about money for the networks.
