20 minutes! So there was absolutely no deliberation. You can barely grab coffee and pastries, get in your seats and hold a vote in 20 minutes.

How long does it take for a quick hand vote?

All those that believe Jimbo runs a tight ship, are in favor of Cook being able to play football this season (I mean) being not guilty, and want to get the hell out of here so we can go home and watch Devious Maids tonight on the TV raise your hand:

As @Jaxbuck said in another thread, I get the feeling that if this keeps up in Tallahassee there will eventually be some vigilante justice going on. The "entitled thugism" and the lack of any kind of authority willing to stop it is going to eventually piss off the wrong father, brother, or boyfriend.

If there is a brain in Tallahassee someone recorded the MoC speech and they will run it on a loop in their facilities.

I'm still not sure which I find harder to believe, the fact that there could not be 7 jurors found in tallahassee without delving into the FSU employee pool, or that Delvin Cook's defense team was so top notch, that several weeks after the fact they happened to "find" a witness that never came forward and the police never found that just so happened to confirm cook's side of the events of the evening.

The FSU employee thing really gets me. How did the judge allow someone with a clear conflict of interest on the jury. The new witness i'd put in typical defense attorney shenanigans. The fact that the jury 'believed' that one person over the victim's testimony / id of cook and the police investigation is ridiculous.

What's interesting to me isn't so much the not guilty verdict: Given the pretty high price to the kid of a conviction, some conflicting testimony, the victim not seeming like much of a prize herself, the general tolerance of college students engaging in drunken shenanigans, and yes, the questionable composition of the jury pool, meh. But there's no question from the video that what the kid did was substantially worse than what Carlos Hyde got three games off for, and I can't believe (well I can but that's the point) that Jimbo, even if just for PR given the trend of negative news from that program, couldn't see fit to do the bare minimum and suspend the kid for their opener (the juggernaut Texas State).
