2023 FL RB Mark Fletcher II (Ohio St. decommit, Miami Signee)

Don’t know why would need 2 guys when every guy has in the room is slated to be back next year including Prior.
Miyan is gone right? Who knows what Pryor will be like coming off of his injury. Marcus Crowley never really recovered from his. I assume (maybe incorrectly) that Chip goes back to defense. IMO seems it might be good to take two. What’s the saying “pair and a spare”?

Where is Myian going?

He doesn't have measurablees to be drafted.
He has received plenty of carries.
Not like Treveyon is getting 30 totes a game.
At 5'9 220lbs, he definitely has the measurables to be drafted. But I'm sure NFL execs want to see him play a full season healthy

Thoughts on who the second guy would be?

And ironically, Trey Cornist from the same HS as Miyan(Winton Woods) just decomitted from GA Tech and would be an excellent 2nd RB. I've seen his size listed from 5'11 205 to 6'1' 215 and he led his conference in rushing with 180 Carries 1630 rushing yards 27 touchdowns 9.0 yards per carry and was the CPOY. A darkhorse RB that OSU may pursue, is Jaquez Keys from Ironton, OH who's committed to Wisky. He has 816yds, 134car and 17TDs, in a pass first offense

By measurables I mean speed.

Doesn’t mean he can’t have an nfl career.
After he runs 40 at the combine it will mean he will be drafted in rd7 if at all.

He certainly won’t run anything under 4.6
Speed isn't always the end all be all. Case in point, at the start of this season everyone was looking forward to Treveyon being the alpha and top RB. Mid way through the season, Meatball, the plan C RB is widely considered the best RB on our roster. That talk was blasphemous at the start of the season, and Henderson is a lot faster than Williams. But Williams runs hard, and moves the chains. And I could see him running in the high 4.6s, tbh

Right.
But my point is 4.67-4.86 rbs aren’t getting drafted in the first 6 rounds of the draft.
Ergo not sure the NFL is a viable option.
I’m trying to figure out why some people are saying he definitely won’t be here next year.

I’m in agreement with you there
And I also don’t see Miyan leaving after this year. He can stay in school another year, refine his game and still earn a check with NIL. I’m curious why no Italian restaurant in Columbus hasn’t gave him a deal 8D

My fault, we can continue this convo in Miyans thread. Back to Mark
