Which is horse crap. If these kids are basically semi pro then they should be forced to honor their agreements or forfeit their earnings. No way anyone should be able to get paid and then just leave like that.
If the kids can take the money, leave and face no recourse then blame the moron who wrote the contract. The contractual nature of NIL is one of the parts that continues to just baffle me. It's so simple to write any contract and the enforcement mechanism has existed for ages (courts of law).
Now, that said, if the NIL contracts get more grown up, then the players are going to need to have an agent which seems to freak people out so that will be fun.
