Fire anyone without NCs, except for Pearl, he's swell

Proven wrong, that's funny I don't seem to see anything of the sort. The success he has had is the players he recruited with their raw talent, not that he has developed them... for example like Wichita St did to their guys this year, or Bo and his Wisky boys.

:slappy:

Is this a social experiment or something? You seriously have to be doing this on purpose to be this dense. BTW who happened to beat Wisconsin at home this year? Might it have been the Buckeyes? Since you're such a big Buckeyes fan I'm sure you already knew that, didn't you?

So did Evan Turner have raw talent, or does Thad get credit for developing him into the best player in the country? Deshaun Thomas? Diebler? Mike Conley sure as hell got better during his year in the program. You cant penalize Thad for recruiting great one and done players, and in the same breath not give him credit for not devloping anyone. Im sure GO, KK, BJ, Cook, Conley, Sully would have been easy to deveolp.

Roy Williams recruited like a madman at Kansas and never won a title. Should Kansas have shitcanned him after 10 years? In fact, for five years between 97-01, they never advanced past the sweet-16 and were knocked out in round 2 three straight years.

National championships are great fun. But, if that's your only measure of success, particularly in CBB, your doing it wrong. Given the amount of success tOSU had for 40 years pre-Thad, I'll gladly take where he has gotten us again over the next ten years. Anything else is gravy.

This conversation is mind-boggling. I mean Dean Smith coached at UNC for 36 years and won exactly two national titles...so that's one every 18 years. He is so fucking overrated that I...wait what? He made the Final Four 11 times? The Elite Eight 15 times? Won almost 78% of all games and totaled almost 900 wins? Has 30 conference titles (17 regular, 13 tournament)? So maybe he isn't so...wait but none of that counts right??? RIGHT??? :slappy:

He never developed players either. It's pretty easy to win when you've got Michael Jordan, James Worthy, Jerry Stackhouse, Rasheed Wallace and the like to work with.

Yeah, and before that we lost to lowly Penn St. 2 Games before that we lost to mediocre Nebraska, before than Minnesota, not to mention later on after that Wisky win we managed to lose to crap PSU again, and then crap Indiana. Playing down to our opponents all the time is on the coach... clearly didn't have them prepared to play,

What's this 'we' shit? Do you have a position on the team? I am guessing you think that coaches like Calhoun and Pearl and Shashefskiasdkfjasldjfalkjsdf don't have seasons where their players play down to opponents?

You really need to get down on your knees and Thank God the mods here are tolerant of your bullshit.

Psst you may want to respond to all of the other well respected and knowledgeable posters who are exploding your senseless opinions. I'll just continue to laugh at you.

I love how all of that ridiculous talent has produced like four NBA starters.

4 NBA starters, who Conley is really the only legit starter. Sully is still young and has only started 58% of the games this year even for a bad team but he is practically a rookie so we will see with him. Oden started all of 6 of 22 games and unfortunately for him he isn't anything special thanks to his injuries so we never will know how great he could have been. Evan Turner was a starter but now since being traded to a good team doesn't start, but he is starter caliber. Who else?

Buford is in the NBA DL, Diebler is overseas, Cook is overseas, Deshaun Thomas is overseas.

So far Matta has produced 2 good NBA players, one remaining to be seen in Sully. In 10 years with how many people have been through, not that special
