Fire anyone without NCs, except for Pearl, he's swell

10 Years:

- 5 B1G titles
- 4 Conf Tournament titles
- 5 Sweet 16s
- 3 Elite 8s
- 2 Final 4s
- 27.5 wins per year (roughly averages 28-8 per season)

There are very few coaches around the entire country that can match that resume, yet your entitled ass thinks he deserves to be replaced because he hasn't delivered you a national title. Seriously, GTFOH...

He does all that on the raw talent he gets, if he actually could turn those raw players into consistent mature future NBA players, we'd probably have a title or two by now. Guess Ohio St football is the only program expected to compete for titles.

I would like for nothing more than to be proved wrong by Matta as this next season he leads the team to a B10 title and actuall a run at the NC, but we all know that's not likely unless Amir, Shannon, Sam, Marc, and Tre improve greatly. We just lost our rock, our leader in Craft, our most talented scorer in Q, a vet and solid defender in Lenzelle. I do not see how this next season will be any better unless. 3 years later and Shannon, Sam, Amir, and Tre really haven't developed as much as we'd need them to win and make a deep run.

I'm so totally sure Thad Matta is worried about proving you wrong :slappy:

Yeah because you can throw any 5 talented 18-22 year olds out there and get to the NCAA tournament every single year. I mean everyone does it, right?

At least a lot of the people on here try and counter me with an argument, you just post lame stuff and laugh at yourself while nobody else thinks it's funny. Come on buddy step it up you're better than that!

You've conveniently ignored the stats I've posted so far. I don't expect any different.

HOLYBUCKEYE10, please look over the above resume and pretend that belongs to the coach at, oh lets say Pitt (a school with similar basketball recent history/tradition). Do you HONESTLY think Pitt should replace this man? This is important.

Certainly explains the number of times you've bumped this thread yourself, or others, like Grad's Fair Warning thread and the Jwins v. LJB thread.

It seems your real problem is the bulk of the people on this board don't agree with your position. From that, you seem to take the position that we must therefore be wrong, or yes men, or what the fuck ever. It doesn't occur to you that not one national person knowledgeable in college basketball agrees with you, instead you cling to something LJB said that "kinda" supports what you have been trying to argue. From these facts, it never occurs to you that maybe it is your position in need of re-evaluation. Nope.. it's everyone else's right? Cause HolyBuckey10 is NEVER wrong, right?

And.. as much as you piss and wine about having the "right" to your opinion.. guess the fuck what.. so do we. Individually. And.. as it seems, collectively in this instance.

You guys can think what you want, but unless something changes you will see the same product next year... I liken it to Jim Bollman, for a while he was vehemently defended and then slowly but surely people got tired of his outdated inability to get the job done. Sometimes loyalty reigns over the truth that's lurking in the corner.

Well, you left out a critical fact... is he to play the part of spoiled, entitled Pitt fan (Assuming there can even be such a thing)

So when was Jim Bollman the head coach at Ohio State? And you seriously need to go to the Bollman thread sometime assuming you ever actually stop posting in this thread.

We aren't Pitt, so that's silly to compare. However, Pitt isn't an elite school like OSU in sports so the comparison is poor.

Right... and so when I, or Mike, or anyone else here says "You can think whatever you want, but the facts don't support your position" you continue to argue the position that you're right about something that you think. I find it quite telling that in the face of people demonstrating the reason why your assertions are untenable (ie saying we should compare Matta with Izzo as if Izzo would win that in a landslide) you respond with either nothing at all, or you just bark the same bullshit you were barking before.

So.. believe what you want about Matta. Unless you're Gene Smith, it hardly matters. Your reputation on this board is being solidified. Post what you want. Say what you want. But, guess what... none of us, individually or collectively answers to you, your opinion, your feelings or your assertions of "truth"

In short, fuck yourself.
