FB/LB Adam Homan (official thread)

Mercer County

Article mentions that the OSU coaches are looking mostly at him as a FB.

His impending commitment and the fact it was primarily at FB was seemed to be common knowledge out in Mercer county this past week. It is the county were everyone is related somehow - I have never met an easier place to do a 6 degrees of separation:tongue2:.

Another solid kid into the program. Some people don't like this early offer to Homan with so many other great players on the board but I don't see why. I'm not sure where he ends up rating-wise, but I would much rather have a kid with a solid work-ethic, good student, and a good all-around kid that's a 2-3 star rather than a thug who happens to be a 4 star. Look how many 2 and 3 star guys OSU has contributing for them right now especially on the defensive side of the ball. Malcolm, Chekwa, Lil' Animal, Russell, Robo, D-Wash, Vern (guns), Dionte and on the O-line: Rehring and Barton. I like the early offer especially now that I know he most likely will be coming in as a FB to start. I think the Bucks still have a few great LB's out there for the taking in the 09' class. How many do the coaches go after in this class (MODS)?

:oh::io:

I knew tOSU was looking at him at FB, and thought that may be troublesome due to his superstar status as a high school LB, but I am really happy so see his willingness to come in and accept the FB position. That attitude says a lot about Adam's character and priorities. Welcome aboard, Mr. Homan.

FB huh? I do seem to recall somebody getting called out for thinking that was a very real possibility :biggrin: All jokes aside though I am glad to see yet another stud added to this class and especially one who really wanted to be a Buckeye more than anything. I could still see Adam playing DE though and it will be interesting to see how he develops. Welcome aboard Adam!
