Another vote for Slap Shot here. Raging Bull, Major League, The Natural and Caddyshack probably round out my top 5. The Hustler/The Color of Money are up there. Prefontaine was a great movie. I would add Rounders, but poker isn't a sport to me (some consider it a sport though).

The original Bad News Bears was hilarious.

The Longest Yard.....the original. I think the cast featured Ray Nitschke, Joe Kapp and some others. Burt Reynolds was pretty good too.

By the way, can anyone post an original post topic on here? Id like to start a thread about favorite players by position. Two of my all time faves at running back are Gale Sayers and Barry Sanders.

Holy thread necromancy!

Anyways, my favorite is the one where the group of misfit losers gets the new coach who tries to motivate them and they begin to overcome adversity learn to play like a team and in the end gain respect and self esteem in the game against the best team in the league.

I can't remember the title though.
