In no particular order: The original Max and Erma's in German village, in Cincinnati it's Anderson Township Pub, Salem Gardens, (Anderson) Zip's (Mount Washington), The Big Klu Burger (named for Ted Kluzewski) at the City View, (Lower Mount Adams), The Back Porch, (Fairfield) The Friendly Stop, (Glendale) Miner's (St. Bernard), Chicken on the Run (Silverton) and Quatman's (Norwood). If you're willing to go West of Vine Street (that's a real cultural barrier in this city) West Side Chili offers a cheese burger topped with a slice of goetta for a sure way to instantly clog arteries, Nick and Tom's in Bridgetown has a great burger and you can wash it down with a bowl of their black bean soup with a huge dollup of sour cream (acts on the same engineering principal as the backfire bomber). What a coincidence that they all sell good beer too.
