New Five Guys opening in GC today.

We walked in Saturday not realizing they weren't open yet, but as we were turning to leave, the manager stopped us and said they needed some more guinea pigs to eat the food being made by the trainees.

Great burgers and fries, made doubly good because they were free. :banger:

Trannies are for cars.

I still haven't tried the Five Guys at South Campus Gateway. Pretty much need to do that. We were at Ugly Tuna last weekend and there were as many people at Five Guys as there were at Ugly Tuna.

Burger-mainia

Made at home.

Charcoal grill with wood chips.

Angus Chuck ground

Pepper-freshly ground

Barbeque seasonings--its a secret formula

Veggie Oil the grill grates

Sear the outside

Turn

Sear the outside

Move to the section with no direct heat

Finish to Medium

Onion-red

White American Cheese

Coarse Brown Mustard

Toasted-on the grill bun

Eat with tater salad and a Labaat Blue

There's a place called Shane's Rib Shack at the Polaris Mall. I just had a "Shaniac". It was very good (and very large).

Re- Five Guys. Overrated. Good but overrated. IMO Grafitti is a much better burger.


Re- Shanes Rib Shack burger, I saw it and wanted it, but the family wanted to go to Noodles instead.... We did go to Barleys Smokehouse last night and they have something similar but it's Barleys so it's probably better. (their pulled pork and brisket is awfully good) and the fact that thier beer is outstanding makes it a no brainer.
