Fantasy Football Advice

Not a great choice there. I'd have to go with Bowe, just to make sure you get SOME points out of that roster spot.

The other option is to wait and see if Welker is active around 4:00 PM and if not drop someone to pick up Edlemon, Avery, or Hilton.

Btw, I pray to fantasy gods that Julio plays, if not I have to start Bowe also.

Heads up to all Gronk owners that you should be looking for TE replacements IMMEDIATELY. He broke his forearm on the final extra point (Yeah, the one that gave them 59 points very late in the 4th) & is initially reported to be out 4-6 weeks. Aaron Hernandez owners rejoice.

Heads up to all who need starting RB's out there. There are three guys who should be ready to step into the #1 RB role on there team.

1. Ronnie Hilmman (Denver). McGahee seems to have torn his MCL & is out six to eight weeks. While Lance Ball is in the mix as well, Hillman has the better upside with more carries on the season & twice (12 to six yesterday) as many in McGahees absence against San Diego.

2. Jamele Parmele (Jacksonville). Seemingly came out of nowhere to lead the Jags in rushing yesterday against Houston with 80 yards rushing on 24 carries, while the apparent starter going into the game, Rashad Jennings, had just three carries for -1 yards. While he probably won't put up huge numbers with MJD remaining hurt, Mike Mularkey said they're sticking with Parmele as there starting RB & is a viable option if you're desperate for RB's.

3. Bryce Brown (Philadelphia). With Shady McCoy going down with a concussion late in yesterdays game against the 'Skins, Brown might be in line for a start this week against Carolina. While McCoy hasn't been ruled out this week, it's possible that he won't be cleared by game time & that Brown could step into the #1 RB role. Yeah, Philadelphia has ignored the RB game the entire season, but it's still worth a look if you're in dire need at this position & indeed McCoy doesn't play.

Hillman is definitely the best option here even with Lance Ball in the mix because McGahee's injury keeps him out for the rest of the fantasy season. Denver's schedule is pretty easy the rest of the way & the Bronco's can score a lot. The other two are just injury replacements until the #1 guy on there respective team comes back. Parmele will at least get to start this week for sure with MJD not being able to return yet, but it's unclear about Shady McCoy's situation.

It was, by far, the busiest week on the waiver wire in my standard league. I picked up Hillman (amazingly in the 12th spot, can't believe he was still there) and am stoked about it.

I have both Bowe and Maclin and they both put up duds last week. A lot of people are dumping Bowe to waivers or awful trades because he's stunk it up the last 7 weeks or so, but I plan on keeping him because his playoff schedule is as easy as it gets, weeks 13, 15, and 16 should produce okay points if I need him. The other option is Santana Moss who is still on the waivers.

In the meantime I need Denario Alexander to keep up some decent production or my season could end by week 14.

Here's my roster geared up for the playoffs, is there anything you think I should change?

QB: Manning/Luck
RB: Foster
RB: McCoy, Mendenhall, Hillman, Tate
WR: Dez
WR: Julio Jones
WR: D. Alexander, Maclin, Bowe
TE: Gates
D/ST: Seattle

I'd like to add a quality TE, but no one is trading right now (we have till the 30th for some reason). There's also no one I'd like to dropfor a backup TE. (Rudolf, Clark on waivers)

I gave up this year, 2-9...I just lost scoring only 62 points when my opponent scored 74, this is a league where you get points for looking an a players general direction... I clearly suck at FF now... I will play again next year and will be back for advice because clearly I can't be trusted

Shady is going to be hit and miss in that offense. Hell, Hillman might
be a better idea. Especially considering that McCoy has a C-word.

Likewise for pretty much your entire WR crew. In an ideal game you have producers. In reality you have an extremely inconsistent group outside of Julio, whom has his own health concerns.

I picked up Danario. Started him this week. The good chemistry seems to continue. Keep an eye out for Justin Blackmon if he's on waivers. I have a feeling Henne is going to get a little to comfortable throwing to him.

And the time to trade Bowe was 2 weeks ago. Kid gave me Denarious Moore straight up. Moore gave me double digit points that week. Bowe had a goose egg. I laughed pretty hard.

Watson seems to have re-emerged as the TE in Cleveland. Just a thought.

Thanks, "You must spread some Reputation around before giving it to Buckeneye again."

Yea, I'll have Hillman starting unless the matchup is golden for McCoy (and their offense plays a little better under Foles).

This team has been hit and miss all year. As you mentioned, when they hit, I'm unstoppable, when they miss it's miserable. One week I'll get 45-50 points from my receivers, the next the same group gets 6-12. Currently I'm 7-4 and in 3rd place. Two teams ahead of me are 8-3 and play each other. 1 more win and I'm a lock for the playoffs, if I lose two and the right teams win then I could be out.

I've tried to trade Bowe for several weeks, I can't get a sniff. He just became droppable, but at this point there's little out there that's much better. Blackmon has never been on the waivers, the guy who has him is one who makes -0- moves in a season.

You're right though, I've been actively trying to package (hell overpay) for a more consistent WR and RB. Without giving up Julio it's hard to do. I also hate my TE situation, but he's hard not to start and harder to trade. I also failed on a trade for Hernandez a couple weeks ago. That would've been nice.

My best hope is that Denario keeps up his production. He'll start this week and stay there as long as he's producing.
