I kind of got burned out on animated sitcoms after King of the Hill. Really, the Simpsons is the animated show by which all others will ever be judged, and even though I rarely watch them now, I did, religiously, for over a decade. My opinion is that if one finds a show entertaining, then it has done its job. Hell, I liked that show Firefly on FOX (way back when), even though it probably had the worst special effects and cheesiest dialogue of any sci-fi venture since Star Trek or the original Star Wars movies.

Family Guy has really gone down hill over the last two season or so (exception being the Blue Harvest--i.e. Star Wars--episode), seems success has been its worst enemy. At this point, I find myself enjoying American Dad to Family Guy...much more dry and ironic comedy.

Used to be a huge Family Guy fan. Now I hate it. It takes ZERO talent to make that show. The Simpsons, South Park, Home Movies, 3 South, and Mission Hill all fart in Family Guy's general direction.

Saying Seth McFarlane is a comedic genius should be a crime.

That is all.

Fuck Family Guy

Family Guy only had two worthwhile characters to begin with, so of course it makes sense they kill one of them off.

When at their best:
Futurama > Boondocks > King of the Hill > The Simpsons > The PJs > South Park > Family Guy > The Cleveland Show > American Dad

I've read where McFarlane is pretty much ready to be done with the show.. I too think it has reached it limit and should have been shut down a few years ago..

I'm sure it's not a coincidence that this happened shortly after his new shows were announced (Bordertown & Dads).

What the...why in the...just...:shake:

Aren't you the feller who referred to Family Guy as the "thinking man's comedy"?

With a sprinkle of funny moments here or there, the show isn't what it was just a short 3 years ago. MacFarlane is pretty damn funny. Comedy genius? Not sure about that.
