Former Mississippi State center Arnett Moultrie said his one-time teammate Rodney Hood will be a one-and-done player when he plays in 2013-14. Hood, who is leaving the Bulldogs after his freshman season, is likely deciding among Ohio State, Memphis and Duke. (He also visited Baylor.) Hood would have to sit out one season before playing for one of those teams. ?His skill level is really nice,?? said Moultrie. ?He?s athletic and gets inside when he needs to. He?ll be one-and-done wherever he goes.?? Moultrie said he talks to Hood multiple times a week and expected him to make up his mind shortly.

Hood to Decide This Week Between Duke, Ohio State
By Adam Zagoria on June 24, 2012
Rodney Hood is currently at the Kevin Durant Skills Academy in Chicago and will decide later this week between Duke and Ohio State.
?When I get home from this camp, the day after I?ll pick a school between Duke and Ohio State,? the 6-foot-7 Mississippi State transfer told SNY.tv from the Durant camp.
?It?s either going to be Wednesday night or Thursday.?
Hood visited Duke last week and is strongly considering the Blue Devils
?I went to the visit and I got to talk with Coach K eye to eye and the rest of the coaching staff,? Hood said. ?I met some of the players. You know, it just felt great. When you go to Duke you?re playing on the highest level of college basketball and the tradition there is great so it was good to go visit.?
Ohio State has the advantage of having Hood?s former AAU teammate, LaQuinton Ross, but Hood said that wouldn?t necessarily impact his decision.
?I?m just going to make my decision,? he said. ?It?s the second time around so I want to make the best decision for me. I just like the coaching staff there and ?Q? is a bonus. But I like the players and I just like the basketball part of it.?

OHSportsFan;2170739; said:Well, Duke has Summer II session beginning July 2nd if he wanted to get started working with them.
OSU started summer classes on June 18th, so it seems too late to enroll for the summer, thus pushing his time frame with the team back to Mid-late August.
Still holding out some hope.
being that he has to sit out the entire year, I don't know that this will make much of a difference to him.
Hood headed to Buckeyes?
The rumor at the Kevin Durant Skills Academy in Chicago is that Rodney Hood has decided to transfer to Ohio State and not Duke, even though he told a couple of recruiting sites yesterday that he would not decide between the two schools until he returns home from the camp Wednesday. He said he would make his announcement Wednesday or Thursday.
After visiting Duke, Hood had all last week to mull his choice between Ohio State and Duke but did not make an announcement before he left yesterday for the Durant camp.
Also attending the camp is Hood's close friend and former AAU teammate LaQuinton Ross and 2013 recruit Marc Loving of Toledo. Both Hood and Ross are from Mississippi.
