To correct earlier report, Rodney Hood's visit to #Buckeyes will be June 1-3, not this weekend, source says
According to http://Warchant.com, an FSU Rivals site, it's believed that Miss. St. transfer Rodney Hood is down to OSU and Duke.
Duke vs. OSU for Hood?
It's looking like Mississippi State transfer Rodney Hood will choose between Ohio State and Duke.
I was told yesterday that Hood will visit the OSU campus June 1-3. Meanwhile, the Rivals.com reporter who covers Florida State, Michael Langston, said Hood will visit Duke mid-week and that Florida State would be the player's last visit.
When I asked my source about that, though, the reply was, "I haven't heard Florida State." And now it appears the Seminoles indeed might be on the outside looking in.
Langston posted early this morning on his message board that his sources say Duke and Ohio State are the favorites to land the 6-foot-8 wing, who started 29 games for Mississippi State as a freshman last season. He will have three years of eligibility remaining after sitting out next season.
Various reports through this process have said Hood was a Duke fan growing up but did not get an offer from the Blue Devils out of high school. Weigh that against what Ohio State has to sell, which is coach Thad Matta's NBA-style offense, which gives players the space to show their skills, and the chance for Hood to play alongside former AAU teammate and fellow Mississippian LaQuinton Ross.

Miss. St. transfer Rodney Hood did not make his Duke visit this week. He's still reportedly on for OSU tomorrow. Looks good for OSU...

http://www.dispatch.com/content/stories/sports/2012/06/01/rumblings-6-1-art-g82hhsle-1.htmlRodney Hood is scheduled to begin an official visit to Ohio State today that Buckeyes basketball coaches no doubt hope will end with a commitment from the 6-foot-8 wing player from Meridian, Miss.
Hood, a close friend and former AAU teammate of Ohio State freshman LaQuinton Ross, was to have visited Duke this week, but various online reports said that Hood postponed his Duke visit and instead will go there next weekend. If you believe the adage that recruits save their favorite for last, what looked to favor the Buckeyes a week ago now could favor the Blue Devils.Regardless of where he signs, Hood will have to sit out the 2012-13 season and will have three years of eligibility.
Mississippi State basketball transfer Rodney Hood to visit Memphis

Mississippi State transfer Rodney Hood will make an official visit to the University of Memphis on Tuesday.
A 6-8 guard from Meridian, Miss., Hood averaged 10.3 points and 4.8 rebounds as a freshman at Mississippi State last season.
Hood announced his decision to transfer in April after longtime former Mississippi State coach Rick Stansbury retired in March.
Hood, an all-SEC freshman performer, will have to sit out one year before he's eligible to play at another Division 1 school.
He's reportedly also considering transferring to Ohio State, Duke or Baylor.
Just a little tidbit from Bob Baptist to go along with that news.
