F Mickey Mitchell (transfer to Arizona State)

A reminder that, as a sophomore, Mickey was the fifth-ranked (!) prospect in the nation by ESPN. And then, the knee injury that robbed him of much of his freakish athleticism forced him to re-style his game. He became an outstanding passer and developed a great handle as a result.

I'm still extremely excited to have Mickey on the Buckeye squad. Looking forward to the 2015-16 season.

He was a fantastic passer before the knee injury.

Well I finally watched Mickey play a full game and I have to agree with those who believe he will be running some sets for us the guy is a playmaker, he can slash to get pubacks....if he ever develops a stroke he cld be 2 and done dangerous because of his rare skill set.

I doubt he was going to get much PT anyway, if he stays (unlikely IMO) a RS is likely the best thing for him even though he is already 20.
WHOA sir.

He's not been cleared by the NCAA Eligibility Center yet. From what I've read, it's an NCAA issue, not an Ohio State issue... meaning he's not eligible for ANY team right now. He's not going anywhere else, unless there's additional information to what is being reported.

In addition, the keyword is "yet". Not found ineligible for the season. I'm optimistic things work out, at least by BIG season.

The article linked in the 11W page below suggests it is unlikely Mitchell will play this year.

http://www.elevenwarriors.com/skull-sessions/2015/11/62695/friday-skull-session

The article implies there may be a problem involving the Texas Titans, etc.

Here is a 2013 article from a Dallas newspaper that has a a story on the Texas Titans:

http://www.dallasnews.com/sports/he...ny-troutt-seeing-years-of-support-pay-off.ece

It just mentions Mitchell as recovering from a ACL injury. However, the point being, other athletics that played on the Texas Titans as listed in the article (i.e. like Julius Randle, Kentucky and Matt Jones, Duke) were "NCAA eligible" to play.
