F Mickey Mitchell (transfer to Arizona State)

Maybe there are plans for him to team up with Davis and Hogg at A&M, I saw one writer suggest that is possible. Maybe makes more sense when u have Davis committing to A&M today with MM decommitting yesterday. New package group of his friends may be forming there.
Hardly surprising. Surprised it took this long. Best of luck to Mickey.

I think he ends up at Texas Tech where his brother is going to school. The Mitchell family really needs to sit down and have a discussion about the word "commitment". I thought that Mickey's decision was independent of his brothers decisions but I am second-guessing myself now. I am surprised that Mickey did not de-commit because of his father's illness which is yet to be determined as far as I know.

Maybe you're right, but if all that is true, why did Mickey wait until August to decommit and take the O-H-I-O photo with the other 3 OSU verbals last month? It doesn't add up if he had pre-determined to just join his brother after he decided to transfer to TTU. Plus, TT is not a good basketball program at all. I tend to think A&M will be more attractive to Mickey considering the potential to team up with Davis and Hogg (I believe they were the top-2 players alongside of Mickey on his AAU team this summer). I just have that sneaky suspicion that Davis and Hogg got in his ear this summer and within the past few weeks convinced him that they will team up at TAMU, and that A&M was the right place for him to go. It's a place where it will be much easier for Mickey to find PT, plus they can have a pretty decent team if Davis and Hogg are both there with him. Again, I don't know what his plans are, but chances are he knows where he wants to go already - maybe it's TTU, maybe it's A&M, I guess we'll find out soon enough.

Why on earth can so many Buckeye fans not do likewise?

Who, exactly, are these "so many Buckeye fans" to which you refer? I see only a handful of posts here on BP in Mickey's thread since he decommitted, and they seem to be wishing him best of luck and discussing to where he may transfer. You must be referencing Buckeye fans other than those on BP when you say there are "so many" that cannot move on, because the evidence to support your claim, to put things mildly, just isn't here.

EVIDENTS?!?! Who needs EVIDENTS?!?! Just make a claim, find 1 person who believes it, and you now have FACTS!!

Nope. Just continually bemused as to why people decide voluntarily to create angst for themselves.
Find a mirror.

As for your latest in a very long line of contrarian crusades, you were beside yourself that fans had not moved on a day after he decommitted. That's rich, particularly given that the vast majority of the responses were sadness, apathy or lack of surprise.

One poster found fault (which is fine, but clearly an isolated post) and rather than respond to them, you felt compelled to admonish "so many buckeye fans." :roll1:

Normally I don't give a crap if some kid changes his mind. But this just bugs me the way this all played out. I wish them both good luck and I hope their father recovers. The whole thing was just weird. We'll never know the whole truth about what went down.
