Well, I didn't mention it before because I didn't want to shed a negative light on the original post, but yes, you bet your ass I made a scene. The rent-a-cops were called in after I, and Janelle, made it known vocally that we weren't pleased. (Janelle is the sweetest girl in the world, I have been with her for two years and have never heard her raise her voice before...she's from a traditional asian family, they don't do that). It was BS, we shouted because he shouted at us, but he just wanted to be a dick.

He refused to call his manager, and then when the rent-a-cops came, he refused to give us his name so we could have it when we called the corporate office.

I don't think anyone who read the Buch Hypocrisy thread would ever think I would take some 22 year old asswipe yelling at me and making my girlfriend cry. It was all I could do to keep from hitting him.

I apologize if I came off as condescending - kudos to you for standing up for yourself. If I were you, I'd file a complaint with the Better Business Bureau today as well.

Need somewhat urgent help...

This obviously isn't life or death, but...

I just moved into my room on campus at OSU yesterday, and they say it will be up to a week before my cable is installed. Today is obviously a big day for football, so I want to catch the games.

The UM-Notre Dame game is on at the same time as the OSU-Thundering Turds game. I want to watch them both, so a mega sports bar that shows multiple games would be ideal. Unfortunately, I am new to the area, so I don't know where things are just yet.

Can anyone tell me where I can find a sports bar that shows several games at once, that would show both the OSU and UM-UND games? More importantly, can you think of one where I can root for OSU and against Notre Dame and not get my ass kicked?

I desparately want to see these games. Thank you for your help.

I'll answer your question honestly, even though it was rhetorical.

I am not going to log everything that was said to me for my thesis, that would be pointless. I am simply interested in peoples' reactions and the though processes behind them. I will probably expand it to compare the way people act in various forums, such as at games, at sports bars, in forums like these, etc. I am fascinated by the way people act and how they justify their words and actions.

Obviously, another part of that is the way people act toward fellow fans of their team. One big reason why this site is so fascinating is that there is a political forum where people differ 180 degrees, but then it's also a football board, where we are all fans of the same team. So to see such rabid fans (I don't know that I have seen fans of another football team so rabid...which isn't a bad thing, usually) at each others' throats because of politics is fascinating.

I am just curious to see how it plays out when football is in full swing, even moreso when Michigan is getting closer and closer during the weeks leading up to the election. Will sparks fly? It will be interesting to see.
