ESPN (A bunch of Death-Spiraling maroons)

Mili complaining about commercials on ESPN. If you choose to watch it, why the bitching about it. Especially in this age where you can either change channels or dvr and watch without commercials.
This is at work, where the TV monitor used primarily for status displays and briefings is tuned to commercial TV all other times and is only about 15 feet to my immediately left.

New Midnight SportsCenter with Scott Van Pelt Launching Sept. 7

After months of planning, preparation and rehearsal, the new midnight (ET) edition of ESPN SportsCenter, hosted by Scott Van Pelt, will premier Monday, Sept. 7, immediately following ESPN’s telecast of the game between No. 1 Ohio State and Virginia Tech.

The longtime ESPN anchor, who also previously hosted a program on ESPN Radio, will introduce a different version of SportsCenter, presenting the world of sports as seen through his unique perspective.

“Scott and a team of very talented and creative people have been working hard to be ready to launch a new and entertaining midnight SportsCenter,” said Rob King, ESPN senior vice president, SportsCenter and News. “The show will deliver what sports fans are used to from SportsCenter but in a different and fast-paced way, led by the intellect, humor and sports fandom of Scott Van Pelt.”

Cont'd ...

It appears ESPN has been forced to come up with a unique name for the midnight SVP edition of SportsCenter, due to overwhelming viewer demand for a way to DVR that one and none of the others.

Am I the only one that gives zero shits about this "new" SportsCenter or any other SportsCenter?

ESPN is ready to go all-in on this sports gambling thing aren't they? Getting a head start certainly. Way more talk this year about lines/spreads, throwing those numbers into graphics, box scores and having comments about not just the pick but who covers. And now it seems the new SC is just Scott Van Pelt laying out his bet slips lol.

I like it. I'm not a gambler, but it's kinda silly pretending it doesn't exist like mainstream sports media has done for years.
