ESPN (A bunch of Death-Spiraling maroons)

On the morning following the report that 8 Miami players would be suspended and on the day of the issuance of warrants for the arrest of two LSU players, ESPN leads off Sportscenter with highlights and a subsequent discussion (totaling about 10 minutes) of last night's oh-so-meaningful Browns vs. Eagles preseason game.

Anyone think that would have been the order of things had OSU been substituted for Miami or LSU?

They did spend about the first 5 minutes of yesterday's CFB Live talking about the LSU situation. With the felony arrests, they'll have to talk about it again today. The fact that they're in the biggest game of the opening weekend makes it a significant story.

He may have had a good college career as a quarterback, but he better learn to play wide receiver if he wants to make it in the pros.

The writer of the article was on the Dan Patrick Show today. He said he did not pick the title of the story or the picture that went with it. He did not sound to happy with ESPNs choice for either.

Sounds like a lame attempt to shift the ridicule away from an article that was probably garbage to begin with.

Yeah, that is why I put it in here and not in Vick thread. With that being said, the author, Tour?, is an assclown and his piece was also retarded. Perhaps the most pointless article I have ever read.

Today. ESPN spent several minutes at the start of the CFB LIve show talking about LSU.

They said: "Jefferson was arrested for connection with a bar fight".

And :"Jefferson and linebacker Joshua Johns are charged with 2nd degree battery, which is a felony."

They also said (or tried to say): "According to a police report, an eyewitness says she 'saw Jefferson .........................' during last week's bar fight which injured 4 people."

NOTE - the audio actually went out for about 1.5 to 2 seconds when the guy was reading the quote of the eyewitness, presumably that he kicked somebody in the head. I'm going to see if the audio is corrected on a re-broadcast of the show in a couple of hours.

EDIT - the re-broadcast had the audio: "she 'saw Jefferson kick someone in the face, during last week's bar fight' ..."

So there was no mention of anybody with 3 fractured vertabae, or any audible mention of the witness supposedly saying that Jefferson kicked somebody in the head.

Later, when they talked about Miami, they said that Harris and Spence were suspended, but they didn't say what any of their alleged extra benefits were.

Contrast this with them repeatedly going through the laundry list of alleged NCAA infractions attributed to Pryor for weeks.

Well, one is a notoriously rogue program...and the other one had some kids who made a mistake. I'm sure Jacory has learned his lesson. :p

But seriously, one involved numerous documents, the testimony of the actual illegal benefit providing booster (with at least one other party substantiating the claims), and the other involved allegations of wrong doing....

DAMN! That's not it either.

I think things took a huge turn for the worst for tOSU when it was found that JT wasn't forthright.
