ESPN (A bunch of Death-Spiraling maroons)

Just drinking some coffee, getting ready to head to the gym, turned on Sportscenter for a few minutes, and guess what story they're going to do next:

"Why one loss is better than none: the case for ranking Stanford ahead of Ohio State"

Now show me: "Why one loss to Utah (4-5) is better than two undefeated seasons... the case for mental retardation"

The Buckeye game announcing team played to type perfectly in not being able to talk about anything except their opinions that Ohio State should be jumped by both Stanford and Baylor in the polls.

With that said, their suggestion that Ed Orgeron might be a good candidate for the next Illinois coach made some sense. He's always been a terrific recruiter and usually has been a poor gameday coach (and before you say anything about his current "success" at USC, remember who he followed). That combination has had a lot of run in Champaign-Urbana.

Despite it being better matchups across the country, ESPN saw fit to take GameDay to USC against Stanford to basically put the spotlight on Stanford hoping they can jump OSU. Cool, I guess.

Stanford kind of fucked that up for them huh?

I now watch the Fox college preview show (don't know the name, but Erin Andrews is on with short dresses) and NEVER watch half time or college gameday final. It's all Fox Sports One now for my sports highlights. They do have Clay Travis on to blow all the SEC teams, but it's nowhere near as obsessed as espin is. The only time I have espin on is to watch games.
