Was watching and didn't see that exchange but did witness Pollack (?) ask Desmond "what does Michigan do well on offense because they can't throw and they can't run". Desmond just kind of stared at him for a few seconds with that "I don't know what to say, this wasn't scripted" look on his face. Nice insight Michigan Man. I chuckled.

Didn't see that part either but Desmond flat out said Baylor would beat the Buckeyes on a neutral field.

I don't watch. Read what I posted but I'll bite..

I am starting to pay more attention as what they say obviously impacts our perception to the masses & the last two weeks we look like we could bring that crystal football back to the WHAC.

Desmond is the type of douche that thought Oregon would hang 60 on us in the Rose Bowl. Him saying Baylor would beat us doesn't surprise me at all. Colin Cowherd hit the nail on the head when he said these teams are flashy, cool and popular, but they aren't going anywhere when it comes to elite competition. What good are 60 point games when you get hammered against a decent defense?

The biggest flaws in the "SEC TOP TO BOTTOM DOMINANCE" theory they all pimp non-stop are TAMU and Missouri. The fact that they've been so good should be all the proof anyone needs to prove ESPN's bias. What's really sad is that none of ESPN's competition has called their bullshit. I guess it's just easier to regurgitate the same talking points over and over.

Anyone think for a fucking second that if Maryland and Rutgers compete for a B1G title by year two, a single analyst will spin it as a positive?

It's all a fucking joke. What sucks the most is I've heard the same shit from far too many tOSU fans this year.

Nah, the SEC sucks this year.

My favorite "narrative" is the people who say you can't count last year's undefeated season. The only thing that matters is this year. Well that's funny, because all I hear about is Alabama's and the SEC's dominance the past X years. Is nobody paying attention this year?

I've been saying this for the past few weeks as well. Haven't heard it on espin because I don't watch it. The fact that I read here that they have Finebaum on that show tells me I'm not missing much. At least with Erin Andrews I didn't mind having it on my screen. Desmond Howard really is dumb. I've heard him in radio interviews and, man, it must be tough to try and make it through the day being unable to formulate coherent sentences.

The SEC right now is the Big 1 and little 13 or however many there are in that conference. I know that in years past there have been multiple great teams (Georgia, Auburn, Florida, LSU) but right now that conference as a whole is just ok. We can't say that every year because they have been elite in the past, but if we are talking about this year then the SEC really is just ok.

I am as guilty as the next guy of playing them up as traditionally many of those teams have been great. But it's time to take a look at the actual games and call it what it is. Florida just got run by Vandy. Vandy?!?!?

I just hope that when bowl season comes around that those Big 10 teams that make it in to bowl games do the conference proud because that is truly the measuring stick that is used by the talking heads when they start pimping conferences. Wisconsin, Minny, MSU all need to beat whoever is put in front of them in order to silence all of the conference talk.

I guess this won't matter next year though.
