ESPN (A bunch of Death-Spiraling maroons)

Whitlock is a clown. He occasionally has some salient points, but he lack credibility because his style of writing and his general race-centered outlook on sports is generally distasteful.

ESPN obviously wants him because... well, they employ Skip Bayless... so clearly they could care less about credibility.

Remember when the Jeremy Lin thing happened and the heat was on him (from various Asian groups, etc.)?

Then all of a sudden, "No, No. This isn't about race. I was kidding."

The Jeremy Lin thing was disgraceful. He'd have never given another writer the benefit of the doubt on something like that and yet he expected everyone to give it to him.

I always kinda felt like Rob Parker was following the script, just as I feel Skip Bayless is following a script. Neither could possibly be that delusional. Parker just went too far with his schtick.

Whitlock is a whole different story. He ACTUALLY believes his bullshit.

I think maybe following the script for so long changes the person. So maybe they start believing the horsesh*t they are spewing on a daily basis and also change the way they speak.

My example is, when I used to watch ESPiN, I remember Michael Wilbon on the "Sports Reporters" in the early 2000's/late 90's. Completely different than what Wilbon has become now. No shouting and trying to be a copy-cat Stephen Smith, just informed, educated speaking.

Then Wilbon left the Washington Post, went full-time ESPiN and changed.

But I don't really care what ESPiN puts on TV these days. The only non Big Ten event, non-soccer I watch on that network is the Sunday night episode of "ESPNFC".

Parker now writes for a different site...trust me, it's no script.

Must admit, Seahawks looking like more of a threat to New England in the AFC than Denver is right now.

Jason Whitlock says he wants to start some sort of website (via ESPiN) employing young minority journalists or a black-friendly version of "Grantland".

http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/college-football/news/20130820/media-circus-chris-fowler/

I don't know why, but it seems like everything Whitlock does, writes, says involves some sort of race (but he says he's not a race-baiter).

Leaving FOX is really not that much of a loss to FOX, IMO. But I guess it could be viewed as one (I don't know).
Because it does.

Cowherd is the same way. He used to be an interesting listen.

A writer just said on "Dan Patrick" that ESPiN gets to charge that $5+ a month due to the NFL (and games).

Help me understand how this is possible, since ESPiN has one game a week? Is the writer just generalizing (like I think he is)?
