ESPN (A bunch of Death-Spiraling maroons)

The new, hopefully positive coverage ESPN is giving to Ohio State got me thinking: ESPN sued Ohio State over an open records request they made... has ESPN even filed an open records request with any of the other schools that have been in hot water recently?

They sued Texas a while back because they wanted leverage re: the Longhorn Network.

At this point, though, no other suits have been filed at North Carolina, South Carolina, Miami, LSU, Oregon, etc.

Miami is private though so it wouldn't have mattered right?

Which is telling, but my question was if they have even filed another open records request in which they could file suit over in the first place?

On the other hand, maybe they just decided that actual investigative journalism was too difficult/expensive and are relying on their "sources" for all future investigations.

Almost as importantly (possibly even more importantly)...
Has ESPN ever been on campus at any of these other schools, and sung their rival's fight song?

in the urban era, espn is our friend

yeah he used to work for them, and now he's using his connections there to showcase his new team to the hands and mcmillians across america, and to give ESPN a ratings boost, I'm exited

when i saw the oklahoma one last year on youtube...i thought to myself, i wish they did that for Ohio State...

i also think since there is no bowl game this year, a little distraction in the pre-season isn't as big of a deal as it would be if we were pre-season number #1 and competing for a national championship(like we will be in 2013)

I don't know, usually you don't sue your friends and pay ex-quarterback's former roommates to make up stories on "Outside the Lines" (Pryor's former roommate who was paid by ESPN).

Just for the fact network execs still believe it needs manufactured arguments (i.e. anything with Bayless or Smith or May), I'm not will to give ESPN the benefit of the doubt.

BTN will give me enough of what I need to know. Ohio State practice Aug. 19 on BTN.

Agreed. And I know I posted it above, but I'm still pissed that they let Turd-muncher and some other jerk (yeah - I know he's famous, but I really don't care) sing the TSUN fight song on Ohio State's campus.

My friend just texted me saying "I thought Dunn didn't get charged with drug possession?"

I replied that he had not.

The confusion arose because ESPN apparently just reported that he had been charged with drug possession.

Did they say he was "charged" or he was "CHARGED"?

There is a difference you know.
