I seem to be stuck on this one. After returning to the Temple of Talos, the one dude is all dead and shit. And I can't figure out where else to go. the quest says "talk to "so and so". But he's farking dead.

Did you gather evidence from the two other people? If so, sounds like a bug... I would tell you why I think that, but I don't want to spoil what actually happens.

When you went back to the Temple of Talos and found the one dude dead, were there any guards there? Did you get a bounty, and or did you kill the guards? It definitely sounds like a bug like 307 said, I'm just trying to figure out which one you're experiencing. There seems to be a few with this quest :(

The guards were what I was going to mention but decided not to. They should've been there.. they were there after I gathered evidence from both people. Not sure if he was dead before that or not though.

Very cool quest, too bad it's bugged to hell..

Alchemy is done finally. Finished the Dark Brotherhood and Thieves Guild arcs. Not much left to do, there are a ton of jobs in the Thieves guild, but it's kind of boring to do them over and over again. Looks like I am done with the game until it's updated. Unless I want to go stone hunting to find that 24th stone i'm still missing.. Any suggestions? I believe I have all the arcs done now.

Hey Ulfric Stormcloak, I appreciate the house in Windhelm. I really do. And not to sound ungrateful, but could you please take back the psychotic serial killer? I don't feel the best welcome home is some crazy unkillable dude trying to stab me repeatedly.

Oh, and clean up my damn armory. I don't need to see left over necromancy shit.

lol, I just got that home too and the home and the quest about the butcher was all fucking glitched. I put off the quest early on and came back to it later only to not be able to finish it normally. I had to console command the quest to be finished and then was able to purchase the property and upgrades. (long story short, I wasn't able to purchase upgrades till the butcher quest was complete).

All the butcher shit was still in the house and I had to spend about an hour finding out how to get rid of all the blood, bones and necro shit. I got everything except a few of the blood splatters out which came back.

the command markfordelete is your friend. SAVE first, then go to console, click on the object you want to delete, and the write the command and hit enter. Then you quicksave and quickload and the shit will be gone.
Yea, I deleted the floor and walls several times and had to reload.

Btw, one reason why you may have not got rid of the shit is that you purchased the living room upgrade before the cleanup upgrade. That wasn't my problem, but it's been a lot of people's issues.

I just finished exploring across the map from Solitude to Windhelm.

It took a solid four hours (at least) to make it across while discovering all of the landmarks, and I still have to finish off the far NE corner around Winterhold.

I am basically (as far as I know) done with the story lines in Whiterun and Solitude (outside the main quest stuff) and am thinking about moving into another city to do the radiant quests and buy a house and all of that stuff.

Any suggestions?

I have discovered the cities and explored the landscape save a few areas here and there (which I will explore if I decide to move to a city near them).

The only area of the map I have not touched at all is Riften and basically the entire SE corner of the map.

First four kills of the dark brotherhood quest line are in the books. Gotta figure out how to kill my wife in Riften (Iona the housecarl) and kill Astrid's husband and add her to the marriage questline. Astrid's my kinda chick.

yea, this game is great, I love how the all chicks look young and are married to older men. If Astrid is 50+ like her husband, then she's the Christie Brinkley of Skyrim.
