Ebola confirmed in the US

OK, so, I'm reading online that the reason flights are allowed in still is because if you don't let these people fly here, they will move by land and be untraceable - thus, making the outbreak worse.

My question is, how many people are flying here on a daily basis from these countries? I can see some logic, but I do not trust this government at all. I am not suggesting they are lying for vindictive reasons, just that it seems every government on earth works against their people for whatever reason. Anyways, my point is, wouldn't it make more sense to contain an outbreak, whatever and wherever it is, by sealing in the borders and working on cures? Why let it spread to different corners of the globe while trying to figure out a solution?

I don't mean to be cold. I haven't been following this that closely, what's the consensus?

The "consensus" is we're all dead meat!
Or we're not.
But I'm stocking up on machetes, c-rations and 9mm ammo,,,,just in case. Remember to always "double tap!"

Is this new, or the report from August?

Or is it this:

Ebola Hoax: South Columbus Woman Reported Ebola-Like Symptoms Reportedly to Get Faster Treatment
Updated: Friday, October 17, 2014

On the less cheerful side of the news:

Not very well. That's how Center for Disease officials describe the condition of a 29-year-old Dallas nurse who tested positive for Ebola.

Dr. Chris Braden from the CDC says he's concerned the Summit County native may have been sick with the deadly strain much earlier than originally thought.

Which would mean, of course, that she was much more contagious than originally reported when she was locked up on the airplane with all those other passengers, as well as when she was visiting her family in Ohio.

A nurse in direct contact with an Ebola patient was quarantined on her cruise in Belize.

Then decided to climb absurd what is essentially a floating Petri dish. You can't make this shit up. Some people are just that stupid.
