In the private sector you under perform you usually get fired. Some times, if you don't "play the game" you get fired also. That has been my private sector experience. I wouldn't say it's a given that a guy in the private sector would be smarter than one hand picked in government. But I understand that people are very distrustful of government right now with a Congress with record low (7% approval ratings) and a lame duck President. But I think the CDC is in capable hands. And I'm not looking for a Zombie Apocalypse any time soon.
We all wish for continued good health for grad's wife. Health workers are the most vulnerable to disease. But they understand that comes with the territory. God bless them!
Ask nurses how much confidence they have in the CDC right now.
It will be lower than congressional approval rating I assure you.
Here's a fun one to think about if (god forbid) anyone you know gets it: the nurses in wifes unit probably will refuse to treat you because they aren't getting any training on protocols.What little they are seeing is so unworkable they are concerned with the mental capacity of those who designed it.
