It took Taylor King a season to decide Duke wasn't the right fit for him.

It took him less than 72 hours to figure out what did fit.

King, who had planned to visit Gonzaga and Southern Cal at the end of the month, committed on Sunday to transfer to Villanova after a weekend visit. He will enroll in June.

Contd...

looking extremely average and unathletic again.

Paulas can't graduate soon enough for Duke fans I'd imagine. I'm still shocked Coach K hasn't brung in a quick/athletic PG in all of Paulas' years. Nolan Smith's handle isn't really PG worthy so I don't count him. In my years of following Duke, it seems they go as their PG goes. I'd say this Wall kid is a MAJOR need for the program.

They certainly aren't a top 5 team and they'll probably finish 3 or 4 in the ACC. They'll win more games than they should based on officiating in the regular season but this is a very average team.

I'm not quite clear on how anyone views this Dook team as "average." Kyle Singler is a top-10 player in the USA, and Zoubek ranks alongside Dallas Lauderdale in the All-Improved Team. Devils will be better this season than they have been since 2003-04.

They do lack a point guard, though. Loved Elmore's comment at the half: "Half the time I have no idea what Paulus is trying to do with the ball."

Singler a "top 10 player in the USA"? Are you referring to his high school ranking? He certainly isn't a top 10 player in the country, or even ACC for that matter.

Singler would be great if he had others around him who could create. Unfortunately, Duke doesn't have many guys who can do that...Actually, Gerald Henderson is the only one.

Of their 7-8 man rotation, Henderson is the only one who will consistently be able to create his own shot.

Paulas...no
Scheyer..no
Singler...no
Smith...maybe, but his handle isn't great

They have some good players, but collectively, it is very unathletic. Guys like Scheyer and Singler would be even better in systems were they didn't have to create so much for themselves...something they aren't great at. It's been the same way for 5 years now. They'll hover around the top 10 and get ousted by a more athetic team (WVU/VCU/Michigan State).

I do really hate Duke. But I hate Michigan more. Fuck Michigan. I was hoping for a bomb to his Ann Arbor...but it didn't happen. So I guess the second best thing would have been both teams losing, by like fouling out all their players or something...but that didn't happen either. But I was not excited Michigan won. Fuck them. Can't wait til they come to Columbus...i'm going to the game, just so I can chant the "Just like football!" Chant.

Haha, I picked a good time to turn that game on. I saw the final 2.6 seconds. :tongue2:

I have no BTN so I watched this whole game, though the 2nd half comeback was entertaining, you could pretty much pick up any basketball game with 2.6 seconds left and it would be a good time to watch from. They're probably shooting free throws anyway.

Then you missed the typical bullshit refs favoring duke. On the inbounds play where Henderson scores to tie, they took 6 full seconds to inbound the ball. The ref standing near half court was counting with his arm...and you can clearly see him count to 5 and not blow a whistle.

At least there was justice tonight.

at least the refs didn't call a charge every time a Duke player undercut a Wake offensive player, or flopped on little to no contact.

I'll give them that much credit.....
